Clover Hill Vineyards & Winery

Clover Hill Vineyards & Winery Premium varietal wines produced with pride from Pennsylvania grapes has always been the focus of Clover Hill. Additionally, specialty wines such as Blackberry Sparkler, Raspberry, & Spiced Apple are part of Clover Hill’s award-winning repertoire. Educational tours are held on Saturdays and Sundays June through September with emphasis on the vineyards, winery production, and wine tasting.   2001 GENERATIONS Chardonnay
This wine has become winemaker John Skrip III's passion. Having received his winemaking education in California, he wanted to create a Chardonnay that would knock all his west coast buddies socks off. Well, he did it! This wine is nothing shy of knock your socks off OUTSTANDING. The mouthfeel and flavors are rich and very well integrated. On the palate, citrus and tropical fruit flavors mingle with sweet wood and toast. Gold medal winner in the 2004 PA Wine Competition. Bronze medal winner in the 2004 Starwine International Wine Competition.
  2002 GENERATIONS Riesling
Kari Skrip has a love affair with Riesling and feels Clover Hill has a near-perfect growing environment for the grape. The affair all began while Kari was in Australia and couldn't get enough of the dry Rieslings. After years of producing a successful semi-sweet Riesling, it was time to put Clover Hill to the test and try our hand at a dry Riesling. What resulted is Kari's new favorite wine. The Generations Riesling will fill your glass, your nose and your mouth with rich and aromatic flavors peach, apricot, cold tea and honey.   Alden
In The Glass: A deep, rich rosé, Alden houses an intense array of aromas and flavors, perfume, mint, and spice make a nice balance with the inherent sweetness. On The Table: A great match with fresh summertime fruits.
  Blackberry Sparkler
In The Glass: Wine is meant to be enjoyed and how can you resist this one? A sweet sparkling wine made with blackberry is sure to be enjoyed by all. On The Table: Great for celebrations, with Cape Cod clam chowder, or after dinner as the perfect dessert. Around The Neck: Gold medal winner in the 2004 PA Wine Competition.   Brut
In The Glass: Produced in the traditional method of making sparkling wine, Méthode Champenoise, our Brut is has no perceivable sweetness, showcasing an elegant combination of yeasty and fruity flavors. On The Table: Sparkling wine is best noted as the quintessential aperitif, but do not disregard it for use with a main course. Try with smoked mussels or salmon.
  Cabernet Franc
In The Glass: A great varietal that has black pepper and spice on the palate. Primary fruit flavors of blackberry mingle with anise, this wine will develop further in the bottle for 5-8 years. On The Table: This medium-bodied wine pairs particularly well with similar weight foods. Serves best with pasta with red sauce, steaks with mustard-pepper crust or Italian sausage.   Cabernet Sauvignon
In The Glass: The king of our red wines, this Cabernet expresses big flavors of cherry and vanilla. French and Hungarian oak ageing add to the complexity of this wine.   Catawba
In The Glass: Displaying a light salmon color with fruity, unmistakable grape aroma and flavor. On The Table: It is a summer time sipper! Try Catawba in our wine cake recipe (available upon request).
  Cayuga White
In The Glass: Fruit flavors are the dominating feature of this wine. The semi-sweet taste expresses mango and other tropical fruit flavors finishing with a crisp taste. On The Table: Works wonderfully with lighter fish dishes or shrimp and rice (recipe available upon request).
  Chambourcin
In The Glass: Intense flavors of rich, ripe fruit are the dominating characteristic of this wine. Fourteen months in American oak add to the intensity of flavors and lengthen the finish of this wine. Chambourcin is rapidly becoming a flagship variety for Pennsylvania wines. On The Table: Chambourcin pairs best with red meats, duck, and grilled tuna.   Chardonnay
In The Glass: This elegant style Chardonnay exhibits fresh pear and green apple aromas and flavors with a rich, velvety mouthfeel. Nine months of oak ageing in French & Hungarian barrels creates a vanilla flavor and toasty oak undertones.   Clover Hill Cuvée
In The Glass: Produced using Méthode Champenoise, the Cuvée is effervescent, light, and semisweet. On The Table: Serve well chilled for celebrations or try with sushi, a Sunday brunch quiche, or lobster.
  Clover Hill Red
In The Glass: A medium-bodied red that displays flavors of berry, cherry, and plum. It spent one year in American oak and has great oak/fruit balance. Caramel and chocolate flavors are evident. On The Table: Great with light pasta, salmon steaks, or marinated pork loin.
  Clover Hill Rosé
In The Glass: Clover Hill Rosé is a lighter blush wine with a very mild and light flavor and a spirited finish. On The Table: This wine is great on its own or after dinner with an assortment of mild, creamy cheeses.
  Concord
In The Glass: Undoubtably a taste of the region. A sweet, grapey wine that most people associate with their backyard grapes. On The Table: Try it with your favorite spicy chili, Concordian meatballs (recipe available upon request), or perfect for sipping on its own.   DeChaunac
In The Glass: An earthy style, semisweet red obtaining flavors of fruit and mulberries and a warm, soothing finish. On The Table: Enjoy with chili or sandwiches. A Clover Hill favorite is toasted sandwiches with sundried tomatoes, mushrooms, and baby spinach.
  DeChaunac Rosé
In The Glass: A darker semisweet rosé that expresses mulberry and other fruit-like characteristics. On The Table: Clover Hill's all-American wine. We love it with pizza, burgers on the grill, and pasta salads!
  Holiday
In The Glass: The sweet rosé that is jazzed up with cinnamon, cloves, and citrus. On The Table: Heat it up in the wintertime! A Clover Hill favorite is to mix with brown sugar for a ham glaze.
  Niagara
In The Glass: What a great sensation for the nose! The grapey aromas and flavors that fill the glass are a true representation of an American variety. On The Table: Give it a good chill and sip away!   Oak Vidal Blanc
In The Glass: This vintage has wonderful aromas of butter and toasted wood. The palate displays great complexity with the optimal balance of oak, fruit, and acidity. There are fresh hints of lemon married with a warm, toasty heartiness. On The Table: A perfect wine for a rich cream sauce, broiled scallops wrapped in bacon, or try Oak Vidal server with chicken pot pie.   Pinot Grigio
In The Glass: Pinot Grigio is a delicate dry white wine showing rich ripe flavors of figs and citrus fruits. Modeled after the Italian style, Pinot Grigio is light, young, and refreshing with a clean crisp finish. On The Table: Pairs exceptionally well with seafood.   Raspberry
In The Glass: A dessert style wine produced from 100% Pennsylvanian red raspberries resulting in an intensely rich and flavorsome wine.On The Table: Raspberry is a wonderful wine to add final touches to a dinner event.   Riesling

  Turtle Rock Red
In The Glass: A wine made from 100% Chambourcin grapes with an unbelievably deep purple color, Turtle Rock Red is meant to be bottled and consumed as a young, fresh red wine. It is off-dry with rich berry flavors and a hint of dark chocolate. On The Table: Pasta fajole is one of our favorite foods for this wine. Others to try are duck and turkey.
  Vidal Blanc
In The Glass: An excitingly fresh and crisp off-dry white wine that boasts floral and citrus fruit aromas - on the palate, wonderful grapefruit, pineapple, and citrus flavors. On The Table: The strong acidic backbone of this wine makes it a perfect match for spicy foods. Our favorites include spicy Asian or Mexican dishes.
  Vignoles
In The Glass: A deliciously sweet dessert-style wine that flaunts flavors of honey, candied dried apricot, and pineapple. Vignoles finishes with a surprisingly light honey aftertaste and good sugar-acid balance. On The Table: Vignoles is the perfect way to end any evening. Works wonderfully with strong blue cheeses (Roaring 40's Blue Brie is one of our favorites) or try it with a rich cheesecake.
