Vignoles

Vignoles Wine Details
Price: $10.59 per bottle

Description: In The Glass: A deliciously sweet dessert-style wine that flaunts flavors of honey, candied dried apricot, and pineapple. Vignoles finishes with a surprisingly light honey aftertaste and good sugar-acid balance. On The Table: Vignoles is the perfect way to end any evening. Works wonderfully with strong blue cheeses (Roaring 40's Blue Brie is one of our favorites) or try it with a rich cheesecake. Around The Neck: Double Gold medal winner in the 2004 PA Wine Competition. Silver medal winner in the 2004 International Eastern Wine Competition. Silver medal winner in the 2004 San Diego National Wine Competition. Silver medal winner in the 2004 Finger Lakes International Wine Competition. Bronze medal winner in the 2004 PA Farm Show Wine Competition. Silver medal winner in the 2003 Long Beach Grand Cru Wine Competition.

Varietal Definition
Vignole:
Commonly grown in the cooler regions of North America, this french-american hybrid used for making white dry, late-harvest and ice-wines has its origins in the Chardonnay grape. Currently very popular as a dessert wine because of its restrained fruitiness and good balance. Same as Ravat.

Monica says...
A good dessert wine and can be drunk as a sweet table wine. Slightly sugary, with good fruit taste.
