  Cabernet Hommage Artist Series Reserve
The 2001 Hommage Cabernet Sauvignon offers intense blackberry, plum, red and black currant, chocolate, and coffee notes on the nose, with toasted oak, leather and cedar elements. As a hallmark of the vintage, the wine is deep and dark in its youth, with a dense, supple palate and masses of extract with great length of flavor.
  Cabernet Hommage Artist Series Reserve
The 2000 Hommage Cabernet Sauvignon offers a dark and powerful black currant and cassis fruit core. Chocolate, tobacco and fig notes underlay this, along with the elements of toasted oak, sage, cigar box, raisin and mint. As a hallmark of the 2000 vintage, the wine is broad and expressive at a younger age, with a sweet, fleshy entry, supple and well textured mouthfeel, and a full tannin structure leading to a persistent finish.
  Chardonnay Hommage Artist Series Reserve
An admirable counterbalance to the work of Milares: the complex flavors of our 2002 wine open with nectarine, apricot, melons, and flowering pears. The fruit is deftly balanced with complexity derived from the barrels including hints of toast, char, and caramel, as well as the overall integration of flavors with fig, caramel and honey. The palate is full and lush, with a richly textured, unctuous and generous mouthfeel. Lively acidity contributes to the intricate layers and depth of the wine, leading to the lingering finish.
  Chardonnay Mitsuko`s Vineyard
This 100% Chardonnay, is a wine of softness and texture on the palate, which retains great complexity in the vibrant rich fruit. The wine shows masses of pineapple, peach, nectarine, gooseberry, kiwi and lime; the fruit tones are deftly balanced with smoky oak and creamy lees complexity. A rounded entry leads to an opulent, linear and elegant palate with great finesse.
  Graveyard Hill Cabernet Sauvignon
From our 11 acre planting just 15 barrels were selected for our 2000 Graveyard bottling. Gently handled and respectfully cellared in 67% new French oak for 25 months before bottling without filtration in December 2002, the wine has a lifted, fragrant and complex nose of cassis, blackberry, smoky oak and hints of mineral, earth, leather and spice. The nose gives way to a dense and textured palate with great purity and elegance. 387 cases produced.
  Graveyard Hill Cabernet Sauvignon
One of two Estate Cabernet vineyards owned by Clos Pegase, Graveyard Hill is an eleven-acre parcel on the southeastern edge of Mitsuko’s Vineyard in Carneros. According to local lore, the farmer who owned this land previously named the hill after plowing it, and, turning back to admire his work, remarked how all the whites stones he turned up looked just like a graveyard. These same white cobblestones were not forgotten when it came time to plant vines on this ground. Atypical of the shallow clay soils surrounding this piece, Graveyard Hill is a rocky, well-drained outcropping, perfect for the cultivation of Cabernet Sauvignon. The drier, warmer soils, coupled with the long growing season allow the variety a generous cushion to ripen, yielding elegant and powerful wines, with dense tannins and generous fruit.
  Home Ranch Reserve Port
This Napa Valley Port may be enjoyed now, in its fresh and fiery infancy, or left to mellow and develop greater richness in the bottle for the next 10 to 15 years. A cornucopia of blackberry, blueberry and raspberry fruit greets the nose, with a super sweet and juicy entry onto the palate. Big and rich, with mouth-filling lusciousness, the wine retains a lively spirit note on the finish, to temper the voluptuous palate and leave an elegant persistence of flavor.

  Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
On the nose, deep and dark cassis and blackberry fruit tones combine with elements of licorice, mint, cocoa, earth, black olive, and cedary oak. The palate is rich and mouth-filling, leading to a dense, refined and expansive finish with fine tannins. The 2001 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon rewarded our expectations of luscious wines from the season: it is vibrant and approachable now, yet will gain greater depth and complexity over the next 5-10 years.
  Palisades Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
Blended in the spring of 2002, the wine was racked a total of three times during its total elevage of 21 months in our caves in 67%% new French oak. A light egg white fining was performed prior to bottling without filtration. The wine gives up intense jammy ripe blackcurrant and blackberry notes, with hints of mint, cassis and toasty, charry oak as a supporting element. A sweet, lush entry leads to supple and fleshy but very dense tannins and a wine of great substance.
  PCR Cabernet Franc
The wine opens with blackcurrant, violets, cocoa, and tobacco leaf, with fragrant elements of licorice, pepper and spice. The palate is soft and elegant on entry; with smooth and supple tannins, excellent concentration and balance, leading to a long finish.
  PCR Zinfandel
Ripe cherry and black berry fruit tones dominate the nose, with hints of chocolate, nutmeg, black pepper, mulberry and raisins. A dense, and sinewy palate follows from a mouth filling entry to a rich and long finish. The wine is approachable now, whereas 3-5 years cellaring will improve the richness and complexity of the wine.
  Pegase Circle Reserve Chardonnay
Amongst the 365 acres of Mitsuko’s Vineyard in Carneros, great diversity of soil and microclimate is in evidence. To make the most of this, we select the varieties we plant to each area, and within each variety, we select the clones that can best take advantage of each site. For our 2003 Pegase Circle Reserve Chardonnay we have selected clones to best represent the vineyard’s elegant aspects. Two distinct blocks provide contrasting elements to produce an harmonious whole. The rare “Rued” selection is responsible for the floral, perfumed aroma of the wine, while the old ‘Wente’ selection provides depth and power. Together, we arrive at a wine with intense floral and aromatic nose of peach, nectarine blossoms, jasmine and honeysuckle. The palate is focused on finesse and elegance, with moderate weight and a lingering, floral finish.
  Pegase Circle Reserve Claret
The term ‘Claret’ being adopted by the English wine shippers in the 18th century and applied to all Bordeaux red wines. As such we have crafted this wine from the five classic red Bordeaux varieties from our three Estate Vineyards. In keeping with its background, the wine plays on balance and elegance. A soft and harmonious wine, yet with underlying power and depth, the Claret offers up pure blueberry and cassis fruit tones, with complex notes of chocolate, coffee and leather: the palate has medium weight and a firm yet supple texture, balanced by a gentle touch of French oak.
  Pegase Circle Reserve Merlot
The nose opens with ripe and complex blackberry and cherry notes, balanced with floral violet and rose hints, coffee, chocolate, cedary oak, toast and vanilla. A voluptuous and smooth entry and full body lead to a rich and textured palate with fine tannins and a long finish. The wine is luscious and approachable now, or can be cellared for five to eight years to enjoy greater complexity from our Estate Carneros Merlot.
  Pegaso
The dense and full bodied Pegaso is a blend of Petite Sirah, Zinfandel and Syrah. The wine offers super-ripe, inky dark berry and black cherry fruit with notes of chocolate, plum, fruitcake, cedar, pencil shavings, spice, pepper and leather. A full-bodied palate, with masses of seamless and elegant tannins and balanced acidity leads to a long finish.
