Description:
The term ‘Claret’ being adopted by the English wine shippers in the 18th century and applied to all Bordeaux red wines. As such we have crafted this wine from the five classic red Bordeaux varieties from our three Estate Vineyards.
In keeping with its background, the wine plays on balance and elegance. A soft and harmonious wine, yet with underlying power and depth, the Claret offers up pure blueberry and cassis fruit tones, with complex notes of chocolate, coffee and leather: the palate has medium weight and a firm yet supple texture, balanced by a gentle touch of French oak.
