  1096 Port
“1096” Port is the culmination of 1096 days exposure to full Texas weather including intense heat and sunlight, freezing rain, dust, drought and tornados. The Port laid down in small oak casks in the open has created a deep color, rich mouth feel, density, aroma and flavor unmatched in any other Port. Texas Original Black Spanish ™ grapes supply the juice basis for this exciting new entry into the Port world.
  Black Spanish
A new era in Texas wine. A long neglected native grape expressed in a dry dark red, smooth, rich, mellow style with character aroma, and flavor not found in any other red wine. Prepare for ambush!!
  Cabernet Franc
This Cabernet Franc is soft, fruity, plush and mellow. Extremely smooth with soft tannins and a spicy tobacco flavor unequaled in the red wine universe. Cherry and rasberry make the nose on this wine incredible, therefor, "sniff" before you taste. Delicious anytime but bold enough for red meats and coutry cooking. A true "Texas style wine."
  Cabernet Sauvignon
This wine is extremely smooth and has some of our Ruby Cabernet spiciness characteristics to it. As such, it is challenging from the standpoint of not being from the norm or style of the ordinary Cabernet Sauvignon. It is a true Texas-style in that we attempt to make all of our wines different from the style that the wine would ordinarily occupy.
  Chardonnay
...Our own special Texas Style Chardonnay. It is half Chablis style in that half of it is has not been subjected to malolactic fermentation nor has it been subjected to aging in wood, and half California style, buttery, round with a smooth hint of oak. This is a Chardonnay is an example of our dedication to making small lots of wine and using our handmade approach to cultivation, grapehandling, winemaking, cellaring and bottling. Handmade products take longer but produce a different and enjoyable result. We hope you enjoy this Chardonnay.
  Comal Red VII
Finally, the long awaited release of the next version of our popular blended red wine. This particular creation is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, and Norton from our estate vineyard. It offers aromas of blackberry, Queen Anne cherry, marzipan, and a hint of bittersweet chocolate. The wines’ taste is rich and full, with a tantalizing hint of sweetness. Flavors of chocolate, berry fruit, nutmeg and cardamom lead to a long, lingering finish. Our new Comal Red begs for big, rich food, such as Cassoulet or Osso Bucco. Alternatively, since we are in Texas, any side of beef slow cooked over Mesquite will do the trick. Only 950 cases produced.
  Creek Rosé
Copper Colored, light, off-dry rose' wine. This wine, unlike other Rose's or Blush's is perfumed with berries and fruit and carries it all together with a smooth, rich mouth feel and a "nose" that tells you the base wine is substantial. Believe it or not, this Rose's base is a blend of estate Vignole, Blanc de Bois and Cabernet Sauvignon made into a Provance-style Rose' wine. Serve well chilled before or after meals. Serve with light luncheons, cold soups, canapes and crudites.
Dry Comal Creek Foot Pressed Red
A smooth light red wine with fruit, full mouthfeel and light tannins. The back label lists the individuals that personally "foot pressed" the Chambourcin grapes on a hot August afternoon. This wine is fresh and should be consumed as early as possible.
  Dry Comal Creek Orange Muscat
Welcome to the initial release of our newest wine. Orange Muscat is a relative of Muscat Blanc a Petits Grains, considered the greatest of all Muscat varieties. This wine is fresh and bright, reminding one of the first breezes of spring. The aromas have orange blossom, apricot and a hint of key lime. The flavors also remind us of spring, with peach nectar, spice and floral tones. This Muscat is light bodied, with a touch of sweetness. It works well as an aperitif, or might possibly be the perfect picnic wine.
  Dry Comal Creek Shiraz/Syrah
Different names - same wine! This is our initial release. The wine is very dark, almost opaque. There are intense aromas of blackberry, tobacco, smoke and earth. Dark and brooding flavors of boysenberry and black pepper lead to a rich, mouth filling finish. This wine had the potential to age, and while it is great now, one to three years of aging will reward the owner with greater complexity and richness.
Dry Comal Creek White Black Spanish
This blush is made from estate Black Spanish grapes and French Colombard grapes from California. Hints of Cherry, cranberry, and leather, this most unusual blush wine is demi-sweet, fruity, smooth and drinkable any time with anything. One of our best selling wines for good reason – a terrific ‘Texas Style®’ wine. Silver Medal winner in 2008 San Antonio Wine Festival Competition.
  French Colombard (bone-dry)
French Colombard is a grape that has been long neglected in the United States. It is well known in France for another reason in that the French Colombard grape is ordinarily used and classically used to make cognac. If you are a cognac drinker, you will recognize a familiar taste. This 2007 French Colombard is made in a Bone Dry style, virtually no sugar, the acids are extremely low, it is very fruity, very light, and very clean on the palate. This wine was fermented and allowed to go completely through fermentation without any sugar being left in the wine. No one else in Texas makes this wine. It has become extremely popular. We receommend it for a party wine or an anytime wine. Best served chilled (38 degrees F.) This is a light delicious, flowery, bone dry white.
  French Colombard (demi-sweet)
French Colombard is a grape that has been long neglected in the United States. It is well known in France for another reason in that the French Colombard grape is ordinarily used and classically used to make cognac. If you are a cognac drinker, you will recognize a familiar taste. The 2006 French Colombard is made in a demi-sweet style, has .75 sugar, the acids are extremely low, it is very fruity, very light, and very clean on the palate. This wine was fermented and allowed to go completely through fermentation without any sugar being left in the wine. Fresh French Colombard grape juice was then added to reach .75 Brix sugar in the wine using the "sus-reserve" method. It is our largest and best-selling white wine. No one else in Texas makes this wine. It has become extremely popular. We receommend it for a party wine or an anytime wine. Chill well 20064 French Colombard and serve it in the summer with light fruits, salads, cold soups, seafoods or oysters. It is one of our favorites and you will love this wine.
  Merlot
Dry Comal Creek has undertaken great personal care combined with a labor-intensive handmade approach to making this Merlot. Our Merlot is a limited production wine. It is smooth, fruity, and supple with hints of French Oak, smoke, berries, cherries, spices and plums. This is an excellent wine with dinner or anytime you desire a delicious red wine.
  Reserve Fume Blanc
This Fume Blanc is silky smooth, with full mouth feel and slight smoke and oak impressions. A tingling mouth feel, almost as if the wine were carbonated, but alas – it is not. Not sweet, not dry. Balanced on the edge. A new wine sensation from our “Texas Style Wines™”
  Sauvignon Blanc
This is a wine that goes extremely well with spicy foods and is a favorite among people who like to have a little bit more body and heft to a Sauvignon Blanc. We have customers try this wine with a Jerk Habañero jam, cream cheese and crackers to demonstrate how well it goes with spicy foods. This is the only wine that I know of that goes fabulously with the basic nacho, tostado, cheese and jalapeño.
  Unoaked Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve
This unoaked Cabernet Sauvignon is an extremely soft, mellow, rich and flavorful wine. Soft and tasty, almost to a fault. This wine we highly recommend. You have not tasted a wine like it.
