Creek Rosé

Creek Rosé Wine Details
Price: $8.00 per bottle

Description: Copper Colored, light, off-dry rose' wine. This wine, unlike other Rose's or Blush's is perfumed with berries and fruit and carries it all together with a smooth, rich mouth feel and a "nose" that tells you the base wine is substantial. Believe it or not, this Rose's base is a blend of estate Vignole, Blanc de Bois and Cabernet Sauvignon made into a Provance-style Rose' wine. Serve well chilled before or after meals. Serve with light luncheons, cold soups, canapes and crudites.

Varietal Definition
Cabernet Sauvignon:
Cabernet Sauvignon is the most widely planted and significant among the five dominant varieties in France’s Bordeaux region, as well as the most successful red wine produced in California. Though it was thought to be an ancient variety, recent genetic studies at U.C. Davis have determined that Cabernet Sauvignon is actually the hybrid offspring of Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Franc. Cabernet Sauvignon berries are small with black, thick and very tough skin. This toughness makes the grapes fairly resistant to disease and spoilage and able to withstand some autumn rains with little or no damage. It is a mid to late season ripener. These growth characteristics, along with its flavor appeal have made Cabernet Sauvignon one of the most popular red wine varieties worldwide.
Vignole:
Commonly grown in the cooler regions of North America, this french-american hybrid used for making white dry, late-harvest and ice-wines has its origins in the Chardonnay grape. Currently very popular as a dessert wine because of its restrained fruitiness and good balance. Same as Ravat.
