Red Rock Brewing Over the years, Red Rock has proven itself in the brewing community bringing home many medals from the annual Great American Beer Festival and a whopping 9 from the international competition, World Beer Cup. Other outstanding accomplishments include 20 medals from the North American Beer Awards and being named “Brewpub of the Year” by Brewpub Magazine in 2000. In 2007 Red Rock won "Large Brewpub and Large Brewpub Brewer of the Year" at the Great American Beer Festival. With a standard selection of 8 or more brews plus sodas, the brewing team here at Red Rock is constantly on the go. Red Rock brewing is headed up by Kevin Templin, who started at Red Rock in the summer of 2000. Of course no beer production would be possible without an excellent brewing staff, which includes the help and knowledge of Matt Davis, Chris Harlin and Joe Welsh. From organics to barrel-aged brews, the brewers of Red Rock are constantly pushing the bar to come up with new, inspiring recipes to delight the palates of Salt Lake’s beer enthusiasts. Just goes to show that something good is always brewing at Red Rock!

  Abbey Ale
Abbey Ale is a malt accented beer with nutty, toasty and chocolate-like flavors. Low hop bitterness, full bodied, unfiltered, fruity banana-like aroma from the unique Belgian yeast strain we use.
  Amber Ale
Red Rock's #1 seller!? ?Amber Ale falls into the category of a Northwest Style Pale Ale. The brew gets its name from an amber coloring and is medium in body with medium caramel character. Our Amber Ale is brewed from copious amounts of Cascade Hops which give the brew its bitterness and aroma alongside a medium malty character.
  Autumn Fest
This Marzen-style lager, amber in color, is lagered for five weeks. It has an emphasized malt flavor, is smooth with a clean hop bitterness. Backed by Crystal and Munich malts.
  Bamberg Rauch Bier
This beer is one of Red Rock’s very unique lager biers. A Rauch Bier translates in German as “smoked beer”. Drying over an open Beechwood fire imparts a smoky character to the malt. Inspired by many trips the brewers have taken to Bamberg, Germany where the Rauch Biers are world famous.
  Bavarian Weisse
Our Bavarian Weisse is a top-fermented, traditional German wheat bier. Phenolic, ester with a slight banana aroma typical of this fine German ale. The perfect springtime brew. It’s like a liquid welcome to warm weather. Prost!
  Belgian Dark
Belgian Darks offer a massive range of characters. Red Rock’s version was a collaboration with Chris McCombs (a former Red Rock brewer) and the Red Rock team. Dark brown, unfiltered with a big malt presence. Phenolic, spicy aroma, soft and malty. A unique Belgian yeast strain is used.
  Belgian Wit
Belgian white ales are very pale in color. Brewed with malted wheat and unmalted wheat barley, and is spiced with coriander and orange peel. Spiciness and yeast flavors are evident. Hopped with Noble Hops with low hop bitterness and little apparent hop flavor. A very refreshing seasonal summertime slammer.
  Black Beer
German style dark lager, very smooth, medium body, low hop bitterness. Eight different malts and thirty-five days of lagering give this classic Schwarz-style beer it’s unusually dark color and remarkably smooth flavor. Not a big beer, but more of a black session lager.   Blonde Ale
Pale straw to deep gold for color. This all malt brew is well attenuated with a slightly malted palate. Most have a subdued fruitiness. Hop character is of the noble variety, leaving a mild to medium bitterness. A balanced beer, light bodied and reminiscent of a cream ale.
  Cream Stout
Milk/Sweet Stouts are basically stouts that have a larger amount of residual dextrins and unfermented lactose sugars that give the brew more body and a sweetness that counters the roasted character. Milk Stouts are very similar to Sweet Stouts, but brewers add unfermentable sugars, usually lactose, to the brew kettle to add body and some sweetness. Served on nitro.
