Jackson Hole Winery

Jackson Hole Winery The winery property sits next to Spring Creek in Jackson, with beautiful views of the Grand Tetons. The Schroth family’s respect and appreciation for the land in Jackson Hole has been the motivation behind the founding of Jackson Hole Winery. Since the Schroth family’s arrival to the Valley in the 1970s, they have always had a desire to create a business that would allow them to work together in one of the most beautiful settings in the world. We currently source Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Merlot, Zinfandel and Chardonnay from various regions in Sonoma and Napa. We only source fruit of the highest quality, and have truly made this a labor of love. Our winemaker does not believe in rushing Mother Nature. He remains patient and methodical in his winemaking in order to find the perfect balance. This involves care every step of the way, from deciding when to harvest, to finding the right pH levels, to maintaining the right acidity, and most importantly seeking good fruit flavor. This attention to detail is what is priority for us at Jackson Hole Winery. Our wines are produced and cellared at 6,229 feet above sea level on Spring Creek at the base of the Grand Tetons. The cool mountain air preserves the wine’s aromatics through a slow fermentation and aging process, allowing the wine to develop its distinctive personality.

  Rendezvous Red
This dynamic blend of 72% Cabernet Franc and 28% Syrah was created to compliment the dinner table as well as any cocktail hour. With rich yet supple tannins, this wine has a big mouth feel and finishes soft and silky. It is richly layered with ripe black cherry, plum, currants, cocoa, and caramel. Patient aging in French oak barrels for 24 months has brought this blend into balance. The Cabernet Franc fruit is sourced from Chalk Hill in Sonoma County. The region's rich volcanic soil and steep hillsides create an ideal growing condition for intense flavors and complexity. The Syrah is grown in Sonoma County's Dry Creek Valley whose weather allows for the fruit to thrive in the hot summer days and its complex soil from the ancient sea floor adds to the wine's richness.
  Russian River Valley Chardonnay
We have sourced some of the finest Chardonnay fruit from one of the greatest wine growing regions the United States has to offer in Sonoma, California. The Russian River Valley is ideal for producing high quality Chardonnay. The cool fogy mornings allow for the fruit to retain its natural mouthwatering acidity even after it has gone through it's secondary malolactic fermentation and the hot dry afternoons allow for the slow ripening process preserving fruity aromatics. This wine is 100% Chardonnay and shows off an assortment of crisp, fruity aromas such as green apple, pear, orange zest, and grapefruit. It has been aged one year in French oak (35% New). This is a wonderful compliment to these flavors and weaves a warm vanilla caramel throughout. Our barrel regime heightens flavor development through a monthly lees stirring. This wine is balanced and has many layers that unfold with every visit to the glass.
