Tyee Wine Cellars Tyee Wine Cellars is located in the heart of the Willamette Valley near Corvallis, Oregon. Our vineyard and winery are on the Buchanan Family Century farm nestled between the foothills of Oregon's Coast Range and the valley floor, in close proximity to a winding creek. With rich soils and a moderate, cool climate, the Willamette Valley is similar in terroir to the great wine regions of Burgundy, France and Northern Italy. We specialize in producing small handcrafted varieties of cool climate, well-balanced food wines including; Pinot noir, Chardonnay, Pinot gris, Pinot blanc, and Gewurztraminer. Tyee, an early Northwest word meaning "chief" or "the best" symbolizes our commitment to the production of handcrafted varietal wines of highest quality. The symbol on our Pinot noir label (at left) shows in traditional Northwest design, the raven stealing the sun, bringing light to the world, a symbol which makes a strong impression during dark, rainy Oregon winters while waiting for the light and warmth of spring.

  Tyee’s Chardonnay, Willamette Valley
Ripe citrus, apple, herbal aromas and flavors with smokey, toasty notes and a crisp, rich mouthfeel. We ferment 100% of this wine in French oak barrels and age it on the primary yeast sediment, ('sur lees') for 12 months. A true "cool climate" Chardonnay, it balances varietal fruitiness with refreshing acidity and delicate oak flavors, making it a wonderful food wine.
  Tyee’s Gewürztraminer, Willamette Valley
Floral and spicy with ripe flavors of pear, citrus, and nuances of honey and cinnamon. We specialize in the production of rich, full bodied, dry Gewürztraminer wines which are excellent with seafood, turkey, ham, and spicy cuisine. Our grapes are ripened to perfection at Temperance Hill Vineyards in the Eola Hills west of Salem, and Beaver Creek Vineyards at Tyee. Production was limited to 425 cases.
  Tyee’s Pinot Blanc, Willamette Valley
Our 2003 Pinot blanc has ripe flavors of citrus and melons with floral, herbal and honey notes. Crisp and full-bodied with a mineral-like finish, this wine is excellent with seafood, especially fresh crab and shellfish. Our Pinot blanc is produced from true Pinot blanc grape selections from Alsace and grown at three premium Willamette Valley vineyard sites, Deerhaven Vineyards in Philomath, Temperance Hill Vineyard in Salem, and Beaver Creek Vineyards at Tyee. Production was limited to 430 cases.
  Tyee’s Pinot gris, Willamette Valley
Tyee Pinot gris 2003 has ripe citrus, apple, and melon flavors with notes of honey and smoke. Its dry, crisp finish makes it an excellent companion to Northwest cuisine, especially wild salmon and other fresh seafood. Our grapes are ripened to perfection at two premium Willamette Valley vineyards: Beaver Creek Vineyard at Tyee and Temperance Hill Vineyards in the Eola Hills. Production was limited to 650 cases produced.
  Tyee’s Pinot noir, Willamette Valley
Tyee's 2002 Pinot noir has ripe flavors of raspberries, cherries, and plums with herbal and smoky notes. This rich and elegant wine is full bodied and has supple tannins balanced by a crisp acidity. Bottled without filtration or fining after aging in French oak barrels for two years, this wine is ready to drink now and has excellent aging potential. Enjoy this wine with your favorite cuisine. Our grapes are ripened to perfection by two premium Willamette Valley vineyards, Beaver Creek Vineyards at Tyee and Temperance Hill Vineyards in the Eola Hills. Production was limited to 650 cases.
