Heaven Hill Distilleries

Heaven Hill Distilleries Shortly after Prohibition ended in the United States, Heaven Hill Distilleries, Inc., was founded in Bardstown, Kentucky by the Shapira family to produce and market Bourbon and premium American whiskeys. At the time, it was as speculative a new business venture as the dot com start-ups of the 1990's -- a company founded with no brands, no available stocks of whiskey, and at the height of the Great Depression. Today, the company has overcome these initial challenges and grown to become the largest independent, family-owned producer and marketer of distilled spirits in the country. According to industry analysts, Heaven Hill is now the seventh largest spirits supplier in the United States and is the second largest holder of aging Bourbon whiskey in the world with an inventory in excess of 675,000 barrels. Over the last two decades Heaven Hill has moved beyond its traditional focus on American whiskeys to become a broadly diversified spirits supplier. Heaven Hill's portfolio includes both domestically produced products, such as Evan Williams Bourbon and Christian Brothers Brandy, as well as a growing line of selected imported brands from around the world, such as Hpnotiq Liqueur and Isle of Jura Single Malt Scotch. Brands are identified and developed to take advantage of the many varied consumer tastes that exist in the vast U.S. distilled spirits market. These brands are then sold on a national basis through an innovative and aggressive marketing and sales organization under a concept that is unique to the industry. With an already robust business in the United States, Heaven Hill has now mounted an aggressive international expansion plan, forming partnerships with like-minded companies throughout the world. Heaven Hill has established its brands in over 40 countries throughout Europe, Asia, the Pacific Rim, Central and South America.

  Bernheim Straight Wheat Whiskey
Bernheim Original Straight Wheat Whiskey is the first truly new variety of American straight whiskey introduced since Prohibition. Bernheim uses soft winter wheat for a soft, sweet flavor and medium finish. The whiskey is produced at the namesake Bernheim Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky as a “small batch” and aged in Rickhouse Y at Heaven Hill’s Bardstown, Nelson County facilities.
  Christian Brothers Brandy
Distilled in the United States since 1882, Christian Brothers is the only American Brandy which uses the same time-honored pot still production method used with fine Cognacs. This process yields a superb, rich flavor enhanced by years of aging in oak casks, which has made it the number one or two brandy in most markets. Christian Brothers Brandy is available in VS, VSOP, XO and Frost White bottlings.
  Coronet VSQ
A 100% California Brandy at an attractive price, Coronet VSQ is one of the leading brands within the domestic brandy segment. It delivers the quality and smooth, rich taste today's brandy consumers are looking for, in a distinctive upscale package.
Elijah Craig 12 Year Old Bourbon
At 12 years old and 94 proof, Elijah Craig is bottled exclusively from a dumping of 70 barrels or less, all drawn from the middle to upper floors of the traditional metal clad rickhouses. It is the original Small Batch Bourbon, having been made available even before the term was invented. Elijah Craig recently won Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and was named winner in the Premium Bourbon category in Whisky Magazine 's bi-annual Best of the Best tasting competition.
Elijah Craig 18 Year Old Single Barrel Bourbon
The oldest Single Barrel Bourbon in the world at 18 years, Elijah Craig Single Barrel is a rare marvel of whiskey-making. Only a handful of the millions of aging Bourbon barrels are allowed to mature this long, resulting in an extremely complex, layered sensory experience. The barrels are hand selected by Parker and Craig Beam, and after 18 years of Kentucky seasons nearly 2/3 of the contents of the barrel have evaporated into Angel's Share!
  Evan Williams
As America's second largest selling Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Evan Williams honors the man recognized as Kentucky's First Distiller, who set up his stills in 1783 on the banks of the Ohio River in Louisville. Evan Williams Black Label, 86 proof, was a Silver Medalist at the recent San Francisco World Spirits Competition, defeating brands costing four or five times its price. It is a nationally and internationally known Bourbon, with distribution in select markets in Europe, Asia and the Pacific Rim.
  Evan Williams Single Barrel
Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage Bourbon Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage Bourbon This super-premium bottling of our flagship brand is the world's only vintage-dated Single Barrel Bourbon and is one of the world's most acclaimed whiskeys. The first American Whiskey ever to win The Spirit Journal 's Whiskey of the Year award, Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage is bottled solely from one barrel hand-selected by Master Distillers Parker and Craig Beam. The most recent vintage is the 1997.
  Fighting Cock Bourbon
The bad boy of Bourbon is bottled at a robust 103 proof, but its 6 years of aging smooth out the feathers real well. Through award-winning packaging and point-of-sale, and a unique and irreverent marketing campaign, Fighting Cock appeals to both male Gen X-ers and serious Bourbon lovers alike.
  Henry McKenna
Henry McKenna brought his familys whiskey recipe with him from Ireland in 1837 and settled in Fairfield Kentucky, founding his distillery there in 1855. He soon adapted his techniques to the local Kentucky grains, particularly corn, and began producing what became known as Kentuckys Finest Table Whiskey. To this day, Henry McKenna Bourbon honors that heritage with a Bourbon that can be served with pride and poured without pretension.
  Henry McKenna Single Barrel
The only extra-aged bottled in bond Single Barrel Bourbon available today, Henry McKenna Single Barrel is aged 10 years before each honey barrel is dumped and bottled as is. At 10 years and 100 proof, it meets the exacting US government standards for a true bottled in bond Bourbon.
  Old Fitzgerald
Made with a "whisper of wheat" according to a time-honored formula, Old Fitzgerald is critically acclaimed for its distinct, complex nose and taste. By substituting wheat for the more traditional rye in the grain recipe, or mashbill, Old Fitzgerald finishes with a rounder, softer profile. Old Fitz is a storied brand, with roots going back to the 1870's when it was first produced for rail and steamship lines and private clubs.
  Pikesville Supreme Straight Rye Whiskey
Representative of the other great rye whiskey style, the Maryland or Potomac style, Pikesville Supreme offers the sharp, fruity nose and spicy, full-bodied palate so treasured by connoisseurs of American Rye Whiskey. A rare bottling, it is now winning over converts in international markets as well, where rye is considered a seldom seen treasure.
  Rittenhouse Straight Rye Whiskey
Produced in the tradition of the classic Pennsylvania or “Monongahela” rye whiskies, Rittenhouse is a much acclaimed rye now enjoying a renaissance in the major metro markets of the country. Available in the standard 80° bottling or in a special Bottled In Bond expression, Rittenhouse is a tribute to the classic rye whiskies that were once the preeminent American whiskey style, kept alive through the many lean years by Heaven Hill and two other Kentucky distilleries.
