Mataro, Old Vine Contra Costa County
Mataro, once widely planted in California at the turn of the century, is now just a footnote in our industries history. Particularly resistant to oxidization, Mataro is capable of producing wines with firm structure and rich, dark fruit. Scented of violets, dark cherries, chocolate, and eucalyptus with Provencal herbs and green tobacco leaf, this wine is delicious presently and will age for well over a decade.

Old Vine Cuvée Contra Costa County
This inaugural bottling of Old Vine Cuvée is Trinitas Cellars' first historical California blend for release. This fruit-driven wine is abundant with blackberries and blueberries with a hint of vanilla. This full bodied yet elegant wine is vibrant with multilayers of flavors and aromas leaving one's palate lingering. Enjoy now or cellars over the next 5 to 7 years.

Petite Sirah Russian River Valley
A pre-fermentation cold soak with traditional pump-over cap management preserved the unique fruit qualities of this wine. After malolactic occurred in neutral wood, an addition of 15% new American oak and 15% new French oak were used to enhance the spice flavor components and to frame the fruit with added structure in the mid-palate. During 14 months of aging this wine was racked once and only lightly filtered before bottling

Petite Sirah, Old Vine Lodi
An impenetrable black ruby color foretells the concentration of this monster wine. Effusive blue fruits, including blackberries, blueberries and boysenberries are framed by an earthy elegance that dominates the nose of this wine. Big ripe tannins balance the richness without being astringent resulting in a mouth feel that is almost permanent. Easily able to age for a minimum of 10 years, enjoy this wine with rack of lamb, duck confit, brazed beef or osso buco.
|
Pinot Blanc Russian River Valley
This fruit-driven wine is abundant with floral, melon and apple aromas with similar flavors on the palate. From the clay loam soils in the Russian River Valley, this wine displays the best of the Trinitas factors - sun, soil and human influences - in which it is grown. The 2005 Pinot Blanc is a versatile and delicious wine that makes the perfect alternative to Chardonnay. Once you have a glass you will agree.

Zinfandel California
This California Zinfandel draws from an assortment of old vine vineyards throughout northern California. The perfect everyday wine but is elegant enough for the most discriminating palate. Jammed pack with dark cherry to raspberry fruit and black pepper make this a great wine to serve at your next barbeque.

Zinfandel Russian River Valley
An intriguing wild berry essence permeates this wine's aroma profile while additional aromas of spices and blackberries support this intensely concentrated wine. Complex Zinfandel flavors of berries, pepper, vanilla, chocolate and a mineral component combine for maximum flavor impact. Built to age gracefully for many years, this wine can be enjoyed now with a grilled tri-tip or marinated rib-eye steak.

Zinfandel, Bigalow Vineyards Contra Costa County
The 2002 Bigalow Zinfandel is a powerful wine expressing the wonderful dusty raspberry and blackberry flavors, which exemplify the Oakley terrior, with additional characteristics of white pepper, coffee and chocolate nuances. Aging in new and used wood has lent this wine a subtle vanilla quality that complements nicely the explosive fruit notes. Enjoy this wine presently for its effusive black fruit, or cellar for 5 to 7 years. This Zinfandel is an integration of the best climate, soil types and winemaking, which is an expression of the Trinitas philosophy.
