Doug & Marlene Moorhead, Marc & Lauri Boettcher and their staff invite you to tour their winery, learn about the art & science of winemaking and taste our wines made under the guidance of winemaker, Bob Green. Winery tours and tastings are available anytime during business hours. Hours: Mon- Sat: 8-5; Closed Sunday. During harvest (mid-Sept- mid Oct) Mon- Sat: 8-6; Sunday 8 am-2:30.

Directions
From the east on I-90, take Exit 45 (State Line) to Rt. 20 West through the town of North East plus 3.5 miles further. Winery entrance is on the right, past Catholic Cemetery Rd. From the west on I-90: Exit 35 (Harborcreek Exit) north to Rt. 531 North. When it ends at Rt. 20, turn right and go 3.8 miles to winery entrance on left, one mile beyond Moorheadville Rd. From the south, on I-79: Exit onto I-90 east (then follow 'from the west' directions). From the east on I-86: Take Rt. 89, the first exit after entering Pennsylvania, then north on Rt. 89 to center of North East, then west on US 20 3.5 miles to winery.

Chambourcin
A dry red French hybrid (originally known as Johannes-Seyve 26205) of medium body and tannin with a hint of raspberry fruit. Aged for 9 months in American white oak.

Dornfelder
A dry medium bodied red with hints of berry and spice followed with dried cherry tastes. Aged for 11 months in a mixture of French and American oak barrels. While good with several foods, it can also be drunk alone because of the light tannin levels.

Eskimo Kisses
An ice wine style wine made from Vidal with rich aromas of honey, dried apricot, caramelized apples and brown sugar. The palate opens up with a luscious viscosity and ends with a sweet racy finish.

Freeport Red Blend
A semi dry medium bodied red wine with aromas of fresh berries. A blend of red hybrids Chambourcin (originally known as Johannes-Seyve 26205), Corot Noir (formally NY 70 developed by Cornell University), Landot Noir, and Leon Millot.

Lake Erie Blushing Heron Blend
A roughly 50-50 blend of Concord and Niagara grapes fermented without skin contact so it is light in color and low in tannins. It has characteristic vitis labrusca flavor and aroma and is quite sweet.

Lake Erie Creekside White Blend
A soft semi-sweet white with delicate vitis labrusca aroma derived from the blend of Catawba and Delaware plus some 2008 Vidal. Most often consumed as a summer sipper or with cheese or light desserts.

Lake Erie Falling Waters
A semi-dry carbonated wine produced primarily from Riesling. Bright and fruity expressing the familiar Riesling style.

Lake Erie Niagara
The ultimate in vitis labrusca aroma and flavor with strong grapy and citrus notes. Reminiscent of the taste and aroma of the fresh grapes. Sweet wine with 7.5% residual sugar.

Lake Erie Pinot Blanc
Delicate varietal fruit aromas of apple, and melon; light weight palate followed by a soft subtle finish. This wine will work as an aperitif or pair wonderfully with white fish

Lake Erie Riesling Ice Wine
A true ice wine made from select Riesling grapes that were naturally frozen in the vineyard and picked on December 20th at temperatures in the mid teens. Aromas of ginger spiced pear and apricot character roll into a rich medium bodied palate expressing notes of honeycomb and cinnamon. The nice acidity ensures a balanced finish that leaves you asking for more.

Noiret
Dry full bodied red with notes of black pepper and mint with fine ripe tannins. Aged 10 months in American oak barrels.

Pennsylvania Viognier
A full bodied dry white wine with aromas of ripe tropical fruit, caramel and toasted oak. Aged six months in French Allier oak.

Pink Catawba
A sweet vitis labrusca wine with varietal characteristic of spicy grape aroma and flavor, with good acid structure to leave a clean, bright finish.

Touriga Nacionale Port
This wine was made in the vintage style and uses a rare traditional Portugese grape variety, Touriga Nacionale. This wine was aged for 21 months in American oak barrels which helped develop the many layers of sophistication that this wine expresses. Enjoy this soulful port for many years to come.
