Ahhh, Raspberry & Mulberry spiked with lavender & sandalwood, finishing with lush spice and hints of rose petals. Ripe tannins fill out the mid-palate as well as indicate aging potential & a future in the cellar. This blend has the largest amount of Syrah we've had between the 03' 04' & 05' vintages, which contributes to the rich color and voluptuous body of the wine. This is also the smallest production year we've had from this exceptional vineyard. The Grenache & Syrah were crushed leaving 30% of the clusters whole, into small open top fermentors & punched down 3 times a day by hand for 12 days. We basket pressed the young wine into 7 barrels, 1 of which was new, accounting for 14% of the cooperage blend. After 11 months, we bottled sans fining or filtration.

Bright nectarine & guava lead off. The mid palate displays the soft creamy texture, a touch of citrus blossom & flint stone minerality, while the acidity brings balance & helps focus the long lingering finish as it unveils a wisp of pineapple. To add another layer of personality we blend in a small amount (3%) of Viognier from the Simpson Vineyard in Madera, which lends a subtle floral /tropical element.

Medium bodied with lively aromatics of white peach, wild strawberry & honeysuckle. Certainly fruit driven, yet refreshingly dry. Finishing clean with a hint of spice & nice food friendly acidity.This Dry Rose’ was made from the free run juice of our ‘Vinolocity’ Rhone style blend. After 18 hours of skin contact, the lightly colored juice was fermented in older/neutral 300 liter barrels & aged ‘sur lie’ for 6 months. Cold settled in tank for 4 weeks, carefully racked & bottled without fining or filtration.

She's back! Incredibly sexy, with aromatic notes of sun warmed blackberry, bittersweet chocolate, freshly cracked pepper & a dash of smoky vanilla. An example of harmony between power & elegance! Velvety texture with an inky purple hue. Full bodied, soft tannins & balanced acidity...what more could you want?

Tremendously expressive notes of cherry & huckleberry upfront, followed by spicy yet earthy layers suggesting clove, tobacco, & cedar ...it just keeps going. Exotic & complex, the mid palate richness, bright coastal influenced acidity & firm yet polished whole cluster tannin, all braid into a serious mouthful of wine.
