Tularosa Vineyards

Tularosa Vineyards The Tularosa Vineyards is located two miles north of the scenic and historic village of Tularosa on US 54. It is a small family-owned vineyard and winery operated by the Wickhams. The wines are primarily varietal wines produced from vinifera grapes and include most of the standard varieties as well as some very unusual varieties. Picnic tables are available under the shade of the lovely pecan trees by the winery. It's easy to while away an afternoon with great wine in this relaxing, beautiful spot.

  "Barrel Select" Cabernet Sauvignon
"Barrel Select" Cabernet Sauvignon is a premium wine that is hand selected from different vineyard sources and/or winemaking techniques that enhance superior characteristics. We do not produce "Barrel Select" every year only when we have a wine that meets the higher criteria of quality.

Tularosa Vineyards and Winery was established in 1989 and we have produced Cabernet Sauvignon since our inception. New Mexico's intense sunlight and near cloudless skies, coupled with cool high altitude nights allow our Cabernet Sauvignon grapes to achieve high sugar to acid balance.
  Cabernet-Shiraz
50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Shiraz. An awesome blend that is better than the sum of its parts!
  Chardonnay
Our Chardonnay is fermented cold and made as a clean white wine and conjures up flavors like green apple and citrus all pointing toward fruity flavor and acidity.
  Dry Rose'
A dry crisp very refreshing rose' Perfect for hot summer days. Dry rose's are very underrated in their ability to blend with a wide variety of foods, most especially grilled white meats. Choice wine grapes are pressed and cold fermented to bring out the floral and fruity that make our dry rose so agreable.

  Mission
The Mission grapevine was the first European (vitis vinifera) variety brought to the New World. The Mission vine was planted in Senecu, New Mexico in 1629. It has been passed down and planted in New Mexico as a heirloom variety for over 370 years. Produced in a sweeter style it is a true "vino nativo" or native wine.
  Muscat Canelli
A marvelously distinctive, fresh and fruity sweet wine with intense orange, grapefruit, melon, guava, passion fruit, and peppermint aromas.
  New Mexico PORT
A New Mexico PORT wine fortified to 18% alc. to preserve natural sugar and fresh taste. Pairs excellent with nuts and great for sipping by the fireplace on a cold winter day.

The Sangiovese grape is one of the primary grapes used in Tuscany, Italy. We believe this variety to be one of the best for our local climate eand soils , because it has produced excellent wine from year to year.
  Shiraz/Syrah
This dark red-purple Shiraz is full-bodied and loaded with black pepper and berry/cherry fruit aromas. The oak blends with grape flavors to producean engaging wine with cellaring potential. New Mexico's high desert climate allows the grapes to achieve excellent ripeness and acidity. Serve with Mediterranean-style foods and/or southwestern specialties.
  Symphony

This dry white wine has aromas of rich apricot, pineapple as well as flavors of lemon, kiwi and melon. This wine matches very well with spicy Thai and Mexican cuisine as well as strong flavored and salty cheeses.
