Brown Ale
Our most popular beer at Legend is our Brown Ale. A style with the origins predating modern brewing practices, the brewing of Brown Ale as we know it began in 1927 in Newcastle, England. This version was paler and dryer than previous brown ales to compete with the popular pale ales of Burton, England. Our full-bodied version of a Brown Ale is brewed with Caramel and Roasted malts and hopped for balance with Tettnang and Mt. Hood. 6.0% ABV.

Golden Ale
This is a full bodied, deep golden beer with a perfect balance between malty sweetness and hop bitterness. A Legend cult classic, this big beer comes in at 7% ABV
|
Lager
Our lightest beer is our Lager. Lager beers are brewed with a bottom fermenting yeast that works at relatively cool temperatures (45° – 55° F). The yeast consumes one more type of complex sugar than an ale yeast, thus creating a slightly lighter and less sweet style of beer. This beer is brewed in the style of a premium export lager. 100% two-row malted barley gives this brew a malty aroma and a medium-light body. A subtle balanced hopping is provided by Hallertau and Saaz. Alcohol is 4.8% by volume (ABV).

Pale Ale
The newest addition to our year round line. Our Pale Ale has a medium body, is orange to copper in color with a firm malt background, and emphasis on the hops with substantial hop flavor and a huge hop aroma.

Pilsner
Pilsner is the most imitated style of beer in the world. Prior to the 1840's all beers were dark and cloudy. In 1842 a new brewery in Pilsen, Bohemia introduced a brew that was golden and clear. Our version has a deep gold color, firm malt background, but the emphasis of the Pilsner is the assertive hopping with hallertau, tettnang and Czech Saaz. It is dry hopped for additional aroma. 5.8% ABV, 40 International Bitterness Units

Porter
Our darkest year-round brew is Porter. A style originating in London in 1722, porter was extinct in Britain by the late 1970’s. Originally a beer meant to simulate the common practice of combining three different strength beers (known as an entire), porter gave way to Stout Porter (now known as Stout). Our Porter is rich, roasty and loaded with chocolate and coffee flavors. This sweet black ale is a robust full-bodied brew. Alcohol is 6% by volume.
