Damiani Wine Cellars
|
|
Located on the eastern shores of Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate NY, Damiani Wine Cellars produces elegant, hand-crafted wines in an old world style.Winemaker Lou Damiani and grape grower Phil Davis are forging a reputation within the Finger Lakes, marking it as a region capable of producing full-bodied vinifera red, and beautiful white, wines. Together, Lou and Phil nurture over 23 acres of Vinifera vines that surround the winery and tasting room. Grapes are hand-picked in small batches to ensure peak ripeness, and healthy canopy management ensures both quality of grapes and stronger, better adapted vines.

Cabernet Franc
A silky, velvety Franc, the color is a rich garnet, with complex flavors of blackberry, coffee, and a hint of chocolate. Smooth body, medium finish, with delicate finesse. Flavors would pair perfectly with a stew of beef bourguignon with mushroom sauce.

Cabernet Sauvignon
*Bronze Medal, 2006 Finger Lakes International Wine Competition*
Gorgeous dark ruby color, with a hint of tobacco in the nose, this smooth Cab has flavors of black raspberry and black currant, with a touch of eucalyptus. Supple tannins give structure to its earthy, 'meaty' characteristics. Long, spicy finish. Perfect with prime rib. Not a red meat eater? Try pairing with a nice piece of aged parmigiano reggiano cheese.

Chardonnay
Aged in French Oak and stainless steel, crisp, complex, hints of peach, vanilla and butterscotch.
|
Dolce Bianco
A wonderful sipping wine, our blend of Vignoles, Cayuga, and Vidal grapes has a beautiful floral nose. Residual sugar is 1.2%. Acidity is balanced throughout, with tropical fruit notes of banana and pineapple, and hints of peach and grapefruit. Perfect summer wine for concerts in the park, by the pool, or perhaps the hot tub. Stonecat Café chef Scott Signori calls it 'one of the most versatile wines' on the Café's list. Pair with a fruit platter and assorted cheeses.
|
Meritage
This blend of equal parts of our Cab Franc, Cab Sauvignon, and Merlot is often praised for its velvety soft texture, and round, rich complexity of tones. Dark fruit, particularly black cherry predominate, with a hint of menthol. Mouth feel is full throughout. Referred to by the New York Times as the 'template for what reds in the Finger Lakes can be.' Pair with spicy sausage links in a rich tomato sauce.
|
Merlot
A medium-bodied, straightforward red. The bright red fruit flavors contain hints of raspberry, tobacco, leather, and smoke. A very satisfying wine. Pair with vegetarian nut loaf, pot roast, cheeses or chocolate.
|
Pinot Noir
With its stunning deep ruby color, this Burgundian-style Pinot has a lovely nose with ripe cherry & cranberry characteristics, richly nuanced with tones of currants, touches of clove and allspice, and hints of coffee and violets.
|
Vino Luce
This delightful white table wine has light notes of fresh cut sweet hay in the nose, with green apple, honey and grapefruit in the mouth.
|
Vino Rosso: Table Red Wine
A nicely balanced red with ripe fruits upfront with a velvety finish and plump backside - a blend of Cabernet Franc and red hybrids.
