Skipping Stone White

Skipping Stone White Wine Details
Price: $11.99 per bottle

Description: Skipping Stone is a blend of Cayuga and Vidal Blanc. Very light in color, the wine is very aromatic with a bright, fresh, floral nose -- delicious and refreshing on the palate. Slightly off dry with a nice balance of sweetness and acidity. This wine is great by itself, with cheese, a simple meal and is also sensational with spicy foods. Fermented in stainless steel. Approximately 1125 cases produced.

Varietal Definition
A hybrid cross between the Johannisberg Riesling and Seyval Blanc grapes. Makes a fruity white wine of mild intensity somewhat similar to Aurore. Widely grown in the Finger Lakes region of New York State and other cool regions of North America.
Vidal Blanc:
A white French hybrid once widely planted in the south of France, it is more suitable for growing in warm and humid climates like the South. These vines are prolific, producing large golden berries, suitable for eating out of hand as table grapes. When vinified, Villard Blanc makes a fruity, mildly intense white wine (somewhat Sauvignon Blanc like) of fairly neutral and simple flavors. Primarily used for blending.
