Turdo Vineyards & Winery Located in beautiful Cape May County at the southern-most part of New Jersey, Turdo Vineyards creates a plethora of handcrafted premium wines from grapes carefully nurtured to their full bounty. As a result of our labor, care and use of technology, Turdo Vineyard is pleased to announce that all our wines have been awarded the QWA (Quality Wine Alliance) designation, a program already in use in Italy and France. Our very first vines were planted in 1999... and a year later over 5,000 vines were planted. Today, Turdo Vineyards produces 12 varieties of wine, ranging from our crisp fruity Pinot Grigio, to our powerful reds, the Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese.

Directions
From the end of the Garden State Parkway (marker zero), turn right to Rte.109 North then to Rte. 9 South (take the jug handle). At the light at Bayshore Road, turn left and go 1/4 mile. Turdo Vineyards is on the left.

Products



  Barbera
This variety comes from the Piemonte region of Italy. Produces a ruby color wine with good acidity, balance, clean finish, great companion to cured meats and cheeses.
  Cabernet Sauvignon
The king of red wines. Hearty, big, full bodied wine, aged inFrench oak for 16 months, with notes of plums, dried fruit, excellent with any earthy meat dish.
  Chardonnay
Fermented and aged in French oak, crisp, dry, firm acidity, with notes of vanilla and green apples, excellent with any fish or poultry dishes.
  Merlot
Medium bodied red, with notes of black currants and a slight hint of oak, a good companion to red meat dishes.
  Moscato
2003 Gold Medal, a very aromatic wine usually drunk with dessert, or just sipping at poolside.
  Nebbiolo
We are one of the few producers of this great Italian variety, with velvety texture and aromas of violets, needs lots of time in the barrel to achieve full potential.
  Nero D'Avola
Turdo Vineyards & Winery Signature Wine…The indigenous grape of Sicily, going back 3,000 years, named after the small city of Avola. This wine is rich & complex. Very elegant, showing a lot of fruit, mostly raspberry, cherry, & dried fig. Delicate flavors of vanilla & soft tannins, make for a clean, smooth finish. Turdo Vineyards is one of only two vineyards in the US to grow this Sicilian varietal & one of the very few producers of this exquisite wine in the entire country.
  Pinot Grigio
Pinot Grigio, crispy acids, with notes of citrus and pineapple and long clean finish, an excellent dry wine that pares well with shellfish, shrimp, crab, and lobster.
  Pinot Noir
This variety comes from the Burgundy region of France, one of the most difficult grape to grow and vinify. Here we achieve good results by controlling the yield, and harvesting at the right time. Ruby color, light bodied red, with good acidity, with notes of wild cherry, pares well with pork and lamb dishes, and occasionally with fish dishes like tuna, or sword fish.
  Sangiovese
The great Italian grape, producer of the famous super Tuscan wines, produces wine with good structure, firm acids with notes of ripe fruits.
  Sauvignon Blanc
2003 Bronze Medal. Dry, crisp well balanced with mineral notes and clean finish, great with any fish or poultry dish.
  Sirah
Medium bodied, with notes of bramble fruits, well balanced with clean long finish. Great companion to grilled meats.
