St. Amant Winery

St. Amant Winery St.Amant Winery is a small family owned winery located in Lodi, California that prides itself in producing handcrafted wines of superb quality. Focusing on Mediterranean grapes, St.Amant crafts distinctive wines from Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian varietals in addition to California’s own Zinfandel. The grapes for all St.Amant wines, whether from Lodi or our own vineyard in the Sierra Foothills of Amador County, are carefully grown and selected for producing fruit of top quality. St.Amant strongly believes that all great wines are made in the vineyard, and meticulously focuses on low yields with concentrated intense fruit flavors. Vinification follows simple techniques designed for maximum expression of the terroir of each of the vineyard sites. First, we only harvest fully mature and ripe fruit. We carefully sort the grapes at the crusher/destemmer removing leaves and imperfect clusters. We ferment in open-top vessels with a high juice to skin ratio. We carefully macerate the must with gentle pumpovers, delestage, and hand punchdowns. We press and rack to small oak barrels for a natural malolactic fermentation. We utilize only high quality coopers and variety of French and American oaks for added complexity. We bottle with minimal rackings, fining, and filtration.

  Marian's Vineyard Zinfandel – Lodi
This delicious wine comes from a century old vineyard planted in 1901 in the Lodi Appellation. A hedonistic Zin with a dark saturated purple color, ripe berry aromas, and a broad range of rich jammy flavors.
  Mohr-Fry Old Vine Zinfandel
Produced from a 7.5 acre vineyard planted in 1944 in the heart of the Lodi Appellation. A classic Old Vine Zin – big, ripe, and chewy with rich raspberry and spicy blackberry flavors finishing with soft supple tannins.
St.Amant’s fourth vintage of this noble Spanish grape, known as the Cabernet Sauvignon of Spain. The wine is a big, chewy, well-structured red with full, round aromas of spice, tobacco, and dark fruits. It has a ripe mouthcoating texture, and delicious flavors that linger on the finish.
  Tres Cachos - Amador
The 2004 Tres Cachos is a dry table wine blend of 3 Portuguese varieties (Touriga, Tinta Cao, Tinta Roriz) used in making our ports. Similar to previous vintages, the wine is almost Pinot Noir-like with spice, earth, and tobacco flavors wrapped around core of juicy fruit. Goes well with roast turkey, ham, and stewed lamb.
  Verdelho – Amador
This exotic Portuguese white variety is a new wine for St.Amant. Bright crisp lemony flavors highlight this delicious summer sipper. Delightfully refreshing, Verdelho’s high acidity makes it an ideal companion to warm summer evenings.
