Description:
For almost 20 years I’ve been getting this fruit and this has been the best yet! No, really! This finished wine has a ph of 3.34 and a total acid of .74 after a complete malic acid fermentation! In addition to that it has an alcohol of 15.88 which will allow it to age for many years if not decades! Relax; you don’t taste the alcohol just layers of fruit, oak, butterscotch, apples, apricot, pear and vanilla. Peach, citrus and the legendary mineral component of Bien Nacido appear in both the nose and mouth with a long finish. Very creamy, this is a keeper for sure. As with all our wines this is unfined, unfiltered and unpumped.

Chardonnay:
Chardonnay is by far the most widely planted grape crop in California and dominates California’s cooler, coastal, quality wine regions. The natural varietal ‘taste and smell’ of Chardonnay is surprisingly unfamiliar to many wine drinkers, as its true character is often guised with dominating winemaking signatures. Chardonnay’s rather subdued primary fruit characteristics lean toward the crisp fruitiness of apples, pears and lemon, but the variety’s full body is capable of supporting a host of complementary characteristics, such as oak, butter and vanilla. Regardless of what is the appropriate style for Chardonnay, the varietal continues to dominate vineyard plantings in every corner of the world.
