MOSBY Traminer

MOSBY Traminer Wine Details
Price: $18.00 per bottle

Description: The 2004 Mosby Traminer has a rich, typically spicy nose that implies sweetness. You almost believe it when you taste flavors of pear, lychee, lemon zest and tropical fruit. Surprise! The finish is long, clean, bracing and DRY. Traminer wines originated in the Alto Adige region of northern Italy. The warm summer days and chilly nights result in grapes with the distinctive fragrance so characteristic of this varietal. The 2003 Mosby Traminer is made from 100% estate-grown grapes from Mosby's Vigna della Casa Vecchia in Santa Barbara County, which has the same combination of warm days and cool nights that result in this traditional style Traminer.Bronze medal, San Diego Wine Competition

Varietal Definition
Traminer:
Parent grape of the popular Gewurztraminer clone. Still grown in France and in California but almost everywhere has been replaced by its much more intense and spicy offspring clone.
