Dunc’s Mill Backwoods Reserve is our highest-caliber, reserve-label pure rum. Distilled from both pure sugar cane and dark molasses, Dunc’s Backwoods Reserve is a traditional amber rum with a distinctly Dunc’s twist.
We age the Backwoods in specially selected small barrels of Hungarian oak in order to obtain a complex but surprisingly smooth flavor profile. Notes of sweet spice and vanilla round out this unique spirit.
We call the Backwoods our ‘sipping rum’ and recommend it neat or on the rocks – but it’s also a one-of-a-kind substitute for whiskey cocktails!
