Saison

Saison Wine Details
Price:

Description: If an IPA, a Wheat Beer and a Belgium Double had a baby; it would be called a Saison. This is a refreshing, medium to strong fruity & spicy ale with a distinctive yellow-orange color, highly carbonated, well hopped, and dry with a quenching acidity. Originally brewed at the end of the cool season to last through the warmer months before refrigeration was common. It had to be sturdy enough to last for months but not too strong to be quenching and refreshing in the summer. We brew ours with coriander and lots of Saaz hops

Varietal Definition
Saison:
Saisons are sturdy farmhouse ale that was traditionally brewed in the winter, to be consumed throughout the summer months. Not so long ago it was close to being an endangered style, but over recent years there's been a massive revival; especially in the US.
