Southern Gin

Southern Gin Wine Details
Price:

Description: 13th Colony Southern Gin, released in February 2010, is an extension of Thirteenth Colony’s Southern Brand, which began with the release of Southern Vodka. The goal was to create a light bodied gin that did not overpower the palate. The result was an award winning spirit with a refreshingly clean and crisp taste, with aromas of juniper berries, botanicals, and hints of citrus. 13th Colony Southern Gin is 82.4 proof and is produced in 3 sizes: 750ml, 1 Liter, and 1.75 Liter. Most recently Southern Gin received a Gold Medal from the 2010 SIP International Awards.

Varietal Definition
Gin:
Gin is a spirit flavoured with juniper berries. Distilled gin is made by redistilling white grain spirit and raw cane sugar which has been flavoured with juniper berries. Compound gin is made by flavouring neutral grain spirit with juniper berries without redistilling and can be considered a flavoured vodka.
