GHV Marquette

GHV Marquette Wine Details
Price:

Description: This wine is our first vintage made from the Marquette grape introduced by the University of Minnesota in 2006. The wine demonstrates the grape's heritage as a grandson of the noble Pinot Noir grape. A complex wine, with attractive ruby color, pronounced tannins, and desirable notes of cherry, berry, black pepper, and spice on both nose and palate. Serve at cool room temperature with red meats.

Varietal Definition
Marquette:
Marquette, formerly MN1211, is a high sugar and moderate acidity red wine grape. It has an open orderly growth habit. University of Minnesota indicates that its resistance to downy mildew, powdery mildew, and black rot has been very good.
