Wine Details
Price:
$35.00 per bottle
Description:
This old world style wine has notes of tanned leather, molé spices, smoke and vanilla that give way to aromatics of plumbs and dried dark fruit on the palate. This wine has a full, rich mouth feel with soft, lush tannins and a long finish. Definitely the fullest bodied wine we produced in 2008.

Varietal Definition
Carmenère:
The now resurgent Carmenère grape was brought to Chile in the 1850s before it was virtually wiped out in Europe by the phylloxera epidemic in the 1880s. It has since thrived in Chile, and was mistaken for Merlot until its spicy and distinctive flavor was rediscovered and developed separately from Merlot in recent years.
