This wine is characterized by bright berry fruit and an inviting deep garnet hue. Serve with smoked meats and cheeses. A blend of 50% Cabernet Franc, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot. 10% of all proceeds go to the College of William & Mary Alumni Association.
About the name: Norborne Berkeley, 4th Baron Botetourt served as Governor of Virginia from 1768-1770, and served on the Board of Visitors of the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg. He was buried in the Wren building, and a statue erected in his honor is featured prominently in the College Yard.
