Junior Johnson's Midnight Moon

Junior Johnson's Midnight Moon Wine Details
Price:

Description: Like many of the early stock car racers, Junior grew-up tending to the family’s whiskey business. He helped his dad work the copper stills during the day and developed his incredible driving skills by running shine at night. Junior combined his understanding of how to make a car run flat-out with his legendary driving skill to become one of the most successful drivers and owners in racing history. Midnight Moon follows the Johnson family’s generations-old tradition of making moonshine. Every batch is born in an authentic, copper still and is hand-crafted, in very small batches. Midnight Moon is tripled distilled to provide the highest-quality, moonshine available.

Varietal Definition
Corn Whiskey:
Corn whiskey is an American whiskey made from a mash made up of at least 80 percent corn (maize). The whiskey is distilled to not more than 40 percent alcohol by volume. It does not have to be aged but, if it is aged, it must be in new or used uncharred oak barrels. Aging usually is brief, i.e., six months. During aging the whiskey picks up color and flavor and its harshness is reduced.
