Gamay Noir 2001 Wine Details
Price: $15.00 per bottle

Description: Gamay Noir was first grown and produced on Vancouver Island by Blue Grouse Winery in 1992. This is a light-bodied red Beaujoulais with fresh acidity and full of fruit, showing off strong aromas of plum and cherry. A crisp summertime red to enjoy with salmon and pastas!

Varietal Definition
Gamay Noir:
The Gamay Noir grape is a clone of Pinot Noir. The version thought to be responsible for the Beaujolais wines of France is the Gamay Noir a Jus Blanc, as distinct from other Gamay teinturiers - (i.e: Gamay vine mutations of ancient origin noted for their deep red coloring capacity in blends).
