Stony Brook Blush

Stony Brook Blush Wine Details
Price: $12.95 per bottle

Description: A blend of Vidal Blanc and Chambourcin, our Stony Brook Blush is a pleasant surprise to the palate as it appears drier than expected to the taste which resembles European rose wine. Medium-bodied and pleasantly sweet, our Stony Brook Blush is a light and fruity wine with accents of cherries and strawberries. Great with appetizers, mild cheeses, ham, turkey, and fruit salads. Serve chilled at 45 degrees.

Varietal Definition
Chambourcin:
A french-american hybrid used to make red wines with fruity flavors and some herbaceousness. Grown in the cooler regions of Eastern U.S. and Canada. Decreasing acreages also found in Europe; due to stringent European Union rules these varieties cannot be blended with traditional varieties.
Vidal Blanc:
A white French hybrid once widely planted in the south of France, it is more suitable for growing in warm and humid climates like the South. These vines are prolific, producing large golden berries, suitable for eating out of hand as table grapes. When vinified, Villard Blanc makes a fruity, mildly intense white wine (somewhat Sauvignon Blanc like) of fairly neutral and simple flavors. Primarily used for blending.
