Description:
We have grown Pinot Gris for 16 years, our limited production being an important part of our Brut Naturel. This is our first 100% Pinot Gris still wine released to the public. It is a "virgin" Pinot Gris - no skin contact, no oak, just a pure reflection of what this variety is capable of in a good season on Venturi-Schulze soil. It has the smokiness typical of the variety and pure fruit character fills the palate. With high alcohol and firm acidity, it is ideal for the collector, as it will continue to improve for many years. We look forward to increased production with our first crop this year from the additional acreage in the 1999 vineyard expansion.
