Joughin Vineyard Lagrein

Joughin Vineyard Lagrein Wine Details
Price: $22.00 per bottle

Description: As we learn more about this wine, we are finding plenty of exciting food pairings from angel hair pasta with a light tomato garlic sauce to much heartier foods. This is also a great wine to taste with a wide variety of artisan cheeses.

Varietal Definition
Lagrein:
A famous varietal in the Trentino/Alto Adige area of northern Italy. Usually overproduced into making light reds with little character, there are versions that are worthy of the proper care they were given. Sumptuous, rich reds and perfumed rosés from Lagrein can be very good and will also improve with cellaring, sometimes lasting up to ten years. Black plums, fresh red cherries and alpine grass can be found in the better versions. Also grown with limited success in Australia.
