An intriguing bouquet of raspberries, sweet cherries, strawberries, and hint of bay leaves. This Pommard-styled Pinot provides a medium to full-bodied feel, a sweet attack, firm tannin, and good acidity. It should drink well for 4-5 years...at the minimum." Our notes: Big, thick, chewy, earthy, black fruit pinot noir with Burgundian character. Raspberry, violets, vanilla bean, smoke. Acidity perfect for food. This is old-vine fruit from the “K” and “J” block of the La Colline vineyard near Arroyo Grande. Named in honor of the historic Duchess of Burgundy with land holdings covering much of Burgundy in the 13th Century.
