The Contursi family divides their time between Laguna Beach and Napa Valley and acquired the Arrow&Branch Estate Vineyard in November 2007. Etude Wines founder Tony Soter, a renowned Napa Valley winemaker and prominent wine consultant, previously owned the organic vineyard property. The property was the source of Soter's renowned and highly rated Little Creek Cabernet Franc.
The four acre Arrow&Branch Estate Vineyard is tucked into an area northeast of the City of Napa, on a slice of hallowed land known as Tulocay, which is part of the American Viticultural Area (AVA) of Coombsville. This distinctive appellation provides warmer days and cooler evenings, allowing the fruit an extended growing period in which to develop flavor and character. As a long-standing proponent of organic farming methods, Arrow&Branch employs no herbicides or synthetic fungicides, utilizing only certified organic materials.
