Kristin and Ryan met in college at Bowling Green State University. That's not in Kentucky. They were both on the ski team, which was basically a drinking team with a skiing problem.
They got married, moved to Chicago, and Ryan started homebrewing. They got sick of spending all of their money and vacation time going skiing out west, so in 2010 they moved to Colorado.
Eventually, Kristin got sick of Ryan's brewery dreaming and decided it was time to shut him up. They spent months working on the business plan and did a lot of market research (that means drinking) at breweries in the Denver/Boulder area. They got funded by successfully pitching unsuspecting family members.
The rest is history -- or is it the future?
