Only 150 cases of this Cabernet Sauvignon was made from a high mountain vineyard in Dry Creek Valley. This Cabernet is rich and elegant with the perfect balance and ripeness leaving a velvety texture with rich and mouth-coating tannins. The perfect food wine!

This is hands down the best Cabernet vintage I have ever worked with as a winemaker, and I have seen some great ones. Our '97 was named in the Top 20 Wines of the Vintage by the New York Times and this surpasses that one! Mother Nature hugged us and kissed us on the lips! The ultra-rich layers keep unfolding into new aromas and flavors as the wine opens up...both red and black currants push forward mixed with exotic spice and roasted coffee and cocoa. Always in balance but never ending as vibrant aromas of violets and sandalwood embrace the juicy plums and berries. The ripeness and sheer size of this wine is impossible to miss, but not due to any one element of power but the force of the complexity. I feel blessed as a winemaker to have been given the gifts from these Napa Valley vineyards in 2001. The wine is firm but supple. Drinkable yet age-worthy. Masculine but sensual. Balanced beyond belief! My descriptors could go one for hours just like the finish of this wine! If you are a Cabernet lover, then you deserve to love this wine.

Sweet spice and wild berry perfume that leaps from the glass. It is red nectar! This vintage is a blend of our own Russian River vineyards and some small blocks from Dutton Ranch. 2004 competitions are already bringing our Pinot Noir big accolades...Gold Medal at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition..." Affairs of the Vine's Great Pinot Shoot-Out" picked us as a top finisher and described us as "very drinkable essences of flowers, forests and distinct cherry cola leading into a soft, silky, ethereal finish. An artful wine!" Pinot Noir has always been our Holy Grail, and this may be our best one yet!
