Dancing Coyote Wines

Dancing Coyote Wines Dancing Coyote is a family run, owned and operated vineyard located in a beautiful stretch of land in California’s Clarksburg appellation. We’ve been farming in the Delta region along the Sacramento River for five generations. These days we keep busy nurturing over 600 acres of exquisite wine grapes in the ideal climate and soil of the Sacramento Valley. Our family’s devotion to producing wines of exceptional quality and character is unwavering. So, it’s no surprise we are involved in the winemaking process every step of the way. From the growing and harvesting of our grapes at the peak of their flavor, to crushing, aging and handcrafting the final product. In short, winemaking is our family’s greatest passion, so it goes without saying that we’re in it for the long haul.

Products

  Albarino
On the heels of our popular 2004 and 2005 vintages which sold out, our 2006 Albarino stands on its own. Fresh and vibrant tasting, this dry wine is intriguingly aromatic with great acidity. We are one of just a handful of California growers that produce Albarino, a native of Spain.
  Cha Cha
The Cha Cha blend is an equally great wine for those who love Chardonnay and for those who don't. This blend has all the attributes of a wonderful Chardonnay, without the over-oaked quality of so many, allowing the fruit flavor to dominate. (Update: Our 2006 Cha Cha is coming mid 2007!) 30% Chardonnay, 23% Albarino, 18% Verdelho, 12% Chenin Blanc, 9% Riesling, 8% Orange Muscat
  Chenin Blanc
Aromas of honeysuckle and citrus blossoms, with mouth watering guava flavor that lingers on the palate. Wonderful balance of refreshing acidity and clean aftertaste.
  Petite Sirah
Big bold flavors of black brambly fruit and warm blackberry, this heavy hitting Petite Sirah is full bodied with subtle tannins that bring a long lasting finish. Hints of tobacco and leather make this spicy Petite one mouth puckering experience. By no way is this wine petite, but hey, what's in a name, it's what's in your glass that counts!
  Pinot Grigio
Fresh aromas of green apples and pears. A lighter-bodied wine that is dry with a bright crisp finish. This refreshing wine is best served chilled for an almost mineral water like experience.
  Rhumba
In an effort to keep things interesting, a new dance has appeared, the Rhumba. They say that the Tango is the dance of passion and the Rhumba is the dance of love. Our proprietary off-dry white wine blend of Gewurztraminer, Riesling, Orange Muscat and Chenin Blanc. So try the Rhumba and swoon!
  Sauvignon Blanc
This is our first production of Sauvignon Blanc, and it will undoubtedly be a winner. A lively, fun wine that you can sip as an apertif or drink with meals. Our 2005 Sauvignon Blanc has a crispness that few Chardonnays can achieve.
  Tango
Tango is a red wine blend of three varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Tempranillo. The resulting wine is smooth and supple, with flavors of ripe berries and black currant. Barrel aging adds notes of roasted coffee and earthy minerality.
  Verdelho
The Verdelho grape is a native of Portugal. With hints of toasted spice, this medium-dry style wine displays honeysuckle, pineapple and tangy citrus flavors that lead to a rich creaminess on the finish.
