Broadley Vineyards

Broadley Vineyards Broadley Vineyards is a family vineyard and winery growing and making Oregon Pinot noir. Our goal is to consistently produce dynamic and outstanding wines that are true expressions of the place where they are grown and made. Frankly, our wines won't appeal to everyone—we do things our way, not the market’s way—but after nearly 20 years of handcrafted winemaking, we are proud to have given consumers some of the highest-ever scoring New World Pinot noirs.

Products

  Bergström
Josh Bergström is one of today's most highly regarded young Oregon winemakers. With an intense focus on growing the best possible fruit, Josh's wines have been turning heads everywhere! We were extremely lucky in 2003 to arrange a trade with Josh: some of his fruit in exchange for some of our fruit. The result is an opulently rich Pinot noir that was "raised" by Josh with impeccable care, and "reared" by us in in our inimitable Broadley Vineyards style! The wine is only available in extremely limited quantities, so please call or email us for availability
  Claudia's Choice
Named for Claudia Broadley, beloved wife, mother, and co-founder of Broadley Vineyards, our Claudia's Choice wines are truly the powerhouse wines of our offerings. Our Claudia's Choice bottlings come exclusively from 4 acres located mid-slope in our estate vineyards. Planted in 1983 of primarily Pommard clones, with a few rows of Wädensvil clone Pinot noir thrown in for structure, we use whole cluster fruit and ferment in open top French oak fermenters. The wine is aged in 100% French oak for 15 months and is always bottled unfined and unflitered. The 1994 Claudia's Choice Pinot noir is a legendary wine, earning an unprecedented 97 score from the Wine Spectator.
  Lemelson
Eric Lemelson burst onto the Oregon wine scene a few years ago when he committed his passion to producing great Pinot noir. Using his own judgement and seeking the guidance of seasoned Oregon winegrowers, Eric planted vineyards and built a state-of-the art winery just outside of Carlton, Oregon. Broadley Vineyards is proud to have been able to exchange in 2003 a small amount of our own fruit for Lemelson fruit, enabling us to produce our interpretation of Pinot noir from one of Oregon's most impressive new vineyards. We only made a small amount of this unique wine, and by the time you read this we could be sold out. If you are interested in this singular wine, please email or call us for availability.
  Marcile Lorraine
Our Marcile Lorraine wines are named after Craig's mother. They always come from 2 acres located at the top of our estate vineyard, above our Claudia's Choice blocks at around 600-ft. A blend of older Pommard and Wadensvil clones planted in 1983 on a lyre trellis. Usually harvested last, the Marcile Lorraine grapes are partially destemmed and then fermented in 600 gallon open top French oak fermenters. These wines are aged in tight grained new French oak for 12 months, and are bottled unfined and unfiltered.
  The Estate
Broadley Vineyards Estate Pinot noir (known in previous vintages as our Reserve wine) represents the character of our grapes, soil, and climate—these are the wines that reflect the unique terroir of our vineyard as a whole. Only our own estate grapes go into the final Estate blend. We destem this fruit and ferment it in open top stainless steel fermenters. The wines are aged for 12 months in 30% new oak barrels and 70% one and two yeard old barrels. Like all our wines, the Estate Pinot noir is bottled unfined and unfiltered.
