The original Williams distillery was established in 1768 by Col. Joseph Williams, a Revolutionary war hero in General George Washington's army. It continued to operate, passing from one generation to the next, until 1903 when the company was incorporated by Nicholas Glen Williams. It was at this time that the Old Nick Williams Company was officially born.
Now, the grandsons and great grandsons of "Old Nick" have re-established the brand and are once again producing a high quality whiskey. We are proud to say that our whiskey is made of 100% grains grown in North Carolina. Follow is along our journey as we "Unlock the Legend!"
We will soon be open for tours! Each paid tour comes with a complimentary tasting and shot glass.
*Per NC ABC rules and regulations, you must take a tour in order to receive a tasting. Must be 21 or older with a valid photo ID in order to taste.
