  Chardonnay, Russian River Valley
Green apple, peach pie and spice aromas offer a tempting scent. The flavors are of crisp apple, light toast and citrus. The full body, tangy acidity and fruity finish make a wine that is ready to enjoy. Serve up a glass at the end of the day and pour another glass to have with a favorite meal
Chardonnay, Russian River Valley, Porter-Bass Vineyard
In appearance, this Chardonnay is yellow-straw in color. The aromas to enjoy are green apple, white peach, tangerine, vanilla, melba toast, spice, blossom and lightly smoky oak tones. The taste is crisp - showing the ample natural acidity. Flavors offer apple, citrus and peach with toasty notes and a lasting fruity aftertaste.
Chardonnay, Russian River Valley, Rochioli and Allen Vineyards
This Chardonnay exhibits pear, baked apple, lemon, honeysuckle, nutmeg, butter and toasty oak aromas. It is a full bodied wine, silky, soft and has ample acidity to balance the various elements. The flavor profile of apple, lemon, toasty oak and butter combine for complexity and balance.
Chardonnay, Russian River Valley, Rochioli and Allen Vineyards
The 2001 Rochioli and Allen Chardonnay displays a full range of fruit and floral aromas: lemon, apple, pineapple, pear and jasmine. The fruit aromas combine in appealing ways with toasty oak and fermentation contributions. The combinations result in aromas of lemon meringue and toasted coconut. Flavors follow with citrus, apple and pineapple delivered with a full and soft mouthfeel. A long, mineral finish and lasting acidity come from the inherent quality of fruit from these companion vineyards. Subtle and interesting combinations of fruit and oak, nice mouthfeel and balance are the attributes that I seek in winemaking. In that sense, the 2001 Rochioli and Allen Chardonnay is one of my personal favorites of the wines I've made.
Chardonnay, Russian River Valley, Rochioli and Allen Vineyards
The combination of fruit from these two adjacent blocks of Russian River Valley vineyard provides the core for a wine with opulent aromas. The ripe apple, pineapple, pear and mango fruit are enhanced by toasted bread, hazelnut, smoke and vanilla notes. The flavors start with citrus and apple fruit and are lengthened by acidity inherent to grapes from this vineyard site. For me, the glory of Russian River Valley Chardonnay is exhibited in a wine with acidity, fruit flavors and mouth structure to support nuances created by toasted oak, fermentation, malolactic fermentation and lees contact.
  Pinot Noir, Anderson Valley
The 2001 Anderson Valley Pinot Noir pops out of the glass with allspice, strawberry, blackberry, potpourri, hibiscus and light smoky aromas. The soft, lush mouthfeel brings strawberry, hibiscus, pomegranate and vanilla flavors. My intent with pinot noir always includes the suppleness and gentleness this wine offers. In this wine the tannins provide structure to the wine without dominance.
Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley, Salzgeber Vineyard
The aromas show black cherry, blackberry and concord grape with floral and licorice dimensions. Smoke, vanilla and cinnamon add to the complexity. Full flavors of cherry and berry fruit with orange zest and spice have developed along with a soft mouth feel. In the style I cultivate, tannins are balanced with the wine’s acidity and they provide structure without dominance.
Russian River Valley Chardonnay, Porter-Bass Vineyard

The taste is crisp and minerally flavors offer ripe apple, citrus and peach with toasty notes and faint butteriness. The finish is long and echoes the mineral and fruit elements of the wine.
Russian River Valley Chardonnay, Rochioli & Allen Vineyards
The 2003 Bannister Wines Chardonnay from the Rochioli and Allen Vineyards is fully developed and ready to enjoy. Fruit from these two renowned vineyards in the heart of the Russian River Valley are combined for this handcrafted Chardonnay.
Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, Salzgeber Vineyard
The 2001 Salzgeber Pinot Noir displays aromas of black cherry, huckleberry, licorice, spice, cola, smoke and smoked meat. The flavors deliver a dense mouthfeel with black cherry, cassis, cranberry, orange zest and spice. I am struck by the year to year consistency of fruit character from this nifty little vineyard. The wine has been a pleasure to make and see develop with the fullness of flavor, classic suppleness, balance and length of flavors.
Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, Salzgeber Vineyard
The 2003 Salzgeber Pinot Noir displays intermingled fruit aromas of sweet cherry, blackberry, pomegranate and orange zest. The fruit is enhanced by a delicate touch of oak toast and spice. On the palate are cherry, blackberry, orange zest and spice, framed by a soft mouthfeel. In the style I cultivate, the tannins are balanced with the wine’s acidity, providing structure without dominance. The wine has evolved to display classic aromas, fullness of flavor, suppleness, balance and length.
