Bottle Jack was started with the idea of doing what we love and loving what we do. Our goal is to make wines that we know we’ll enjoy drinking ourselves and that are to be shared with family friends laughter and love. It’s not our style to woo you with grandiose stories, fancy marketing lingo or extravagant terms of rare and exotic fruits, flavors or aromas. Our dream is simple but it is also tons of fun. Our wines are great. We’re proud to hold a bottle in our hands and share a glass with our friends and family. We hope you do too and appreciate your support.

Cabernet Sauvignon
Our 1999 cabernet sauvignon was vinted entirely from grapes harvested from the O’Brien Vineyard, one of El Dorado County’s outstanding vineyards. This full-bodied wine folds classic varietal aromas with ripe fruit and soft tannins. Aromas of blackberry, plum, and cherry abound, complimented by savory roasted grain and herbal accents.

Cabernet Sauvignon
Our cabernet sauvignon was vinted entirely from grapes harvested from the O’Brien Vineyard, one of El Dorado County’s outstanding vineyards. This full-bodied wine folds classic varietal aromas with subtle oak overtones and complements this union with a rich, smooth finish.

Late Harvest Zinfandel
Grapes for this unique zinfandel were harvested from the Ancel Vineyard on a cold mid-November morning, only moments before the sky opened up with a torrent of autumn rain. This limited production wine was embellished with our unique methode’ bouteille deaux fois (twice bottled) treatment. Savor the rich dark-cherry and berry flavors, married with the essence of dried fig and plum.

Meritage
Our 1998 Meritage is a blend of cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc from the O’Brien Vineyard, and merlot from the De Cascabel Vineyard, two of El Dorado County’s outstanding vineyards. This limited-production, medium-bodied wine is exquisitely balanced, with pronounced berry fruit and soft tannins.

Syrah
The Sauber Vineyard is well established as a grower of fine syrah with intense fruit and color. The 2,800 foot elevation and well-drained granitic soils are ideally suited for producing grapes with outstanding varietal characteristics. This wine was handcrafted in the classic French style. The bright, rich berry fruit is embellished by a smokey, roasted character with just a hint of dried herb in the nose.

Syrah Blush
The Sauber Vineyard, El Dorado County, is well established as a grower of fine syrah grapes with intense fruit and color. The 2,800 foot elevation and well-drained granitic soils are ideally suited for producing grapes with outstanding varietal characteristics. Aroma of grapefruit and pineapple abound. The crisp citrus character of this wine was crafted to complement any culinary fare.

Zinfandel
This zinfandel was vinted entirely from grapes Dorado County. This is a medium-bodied wine with a delightful aromatic nose, complementharvested from Twin Rivers Vineyard, El ed by a rich blackberry and cherry finish.
