Merridale Estate Cidery Merridale Estate Cidery is located in Cobble Hill, just 40 minutes from Victoria in the The Cowichan Valley . The newly open Cider House provides a unique venue surrounded by the orchards where you can enjoy tastings and lunch. Merridale is said to be BC's first estate cidery. Owned by Janet Docherty Albert Piggott is the cider master. Plans are under way to make the farm more suited to visitors. The farm is located near Mill Bay. Some of the varieties of apples grown include Dabinett, Tremlett's Bitter, Frequin Rouge, Hauxapfel, Chisel Jersey, and Bulmer Norman to name a few.

  Champagne Style Somerset
This is the English version of champagne-style cider, dry and sparkling with balanced acids. Perfect for a special occasion, Somerset is aged for more than a year to become completely dry
  Cidre Normandie
Full-bodied still cider fermented to dry, then aged in oak to soften the finish. Perfect with pork, chicken, and rabbit. Winner of commendation at 2003 Northwest Cider Competition.
  Cyser
Cyser – winner of Silver Medal 2002 NABA. With its sweet and rich taste, Cyser is a favourite of sherry drinkers and an excellent aperitif or dessert drink. Cyser is a traditional blend of pure vintage apple juice and wildflower honey, combined in a slow fermentation process that dates back to the Viking days.
  House Cider
Merridale’s Pub Draft – a lighter, sweeter version of our traditional cider, but still very dry. House cider is on tap in Vancouver Island's finest pubs and restaurants. Also available in 2-litre bottles, or party-sized kegs for your special event.
  Merri Berri
This is a refreshing blend of apple cider and the unfermented juices of a blend of BC berries and fruits. It's popular among those who enjoy spritzers or lighter alcoholic beverages.
  Scrumpy
Scrumpy – winner of Gold & Silver 2002 North American Brewers Awards in Idaho Springs. If you're a Scotch drinker, try this one. Scrumpy is strong and sharp, and rich in flavour of BC crab apples fermented without sugar. Once you acquire a taste for Scrumpy, nothing else will do! In old England, scrumpy was a cider made by farm workers who stole or ‘scrumped’ apples from the orchard.
  Traditional Cider
Bronze medal finisher in both the Hereford Cider Museum and the Bath and West Show Cider competitions in England. Merridale's Traditional cider is light, dry and effervescent It appeals to true cider connoisseurs, and has been called 'the best English-style cider in Canada' by wine expert Jurgen Gothe.
  Winter Apple
A fresh and velvety sipping drink with an aroma of baked apples and buttery brown sugar. Serve straight in the tradition of port, and pair with cheddar or blue cheese, melons, fruit desserts and dark chocolate.
