In addition to being a spin on our last name, Zupanick, the name Dobra Zupas was chosen for our restaurant to pay homage to our Slovenian heritage as “dobra zupas” translates from Slovene to mean “good soup.” The concept that started the Dobra Zupas’ brand was to serve gourmet food off of a constantly changing menu, at an affordable price. We wanted to give our customers a unique dining experience that offers new dishes paired with craft beer in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.
Our menu features a variety of offerings such as our Mediterranean Pita Wrap and Fried Greed Tomato BLT as well as classics like our Black and Bleu Fillet or Crab Risotto. Because our menu changes on a regular basis we are able to not only provide customers with some of the same great dishes that they have come to love, but also create new dishes so that customers will always have a choice of new items to try.
Dobra Zupas recently expanded into craft brewing, and aims to bring new excitement and creativity to the restaurant scene in Southern West Virginia. As the first and only craft brewery in Beckley, WV, Dobra Zupas is bringing our signature style to the West Virginia craft beer revolution! Our focus, Craft Food and Craft Beer, ensures that our customers always walk away smiling.
