D'Anbino Vineyards and Cellars

D'Anbino Vineyards and Cellars Owners and family members John D’ Andrea and Carmine Rubino were raised on the east coast in Newark, New Jersey. “In our local Italian neighborhood, home wine making was a very important event. We can remember around harvest time all our neighborhood grandpas would go down to the local train yards to pick up their order of grapes coming in from California. And then there was the week-long celebration of the crush and barreling of the juice. Up and down the street there sat in the middle of every basement—one prized barrel of liquid art, which every grandpa assiduously attended to and possessively guarded under the lock and key of his watchful eye.

  Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve
Showing the bright and pleasing color of fine Claret, this Cabernet Sauvignon embodies the best that our estate vineyard has to offer. Aromas of juicy raspberry and currant are bolstered by the earthy and vanilla notes. In the mouth, the wine bursts with flavor, perfectly balancing the supple tannins of oak aging with the zesty natural acidity of the grape. Fruit flavors linger on the finish, inviting another sip. Twenty-four months of barrel aging mean that this wine is ready to drink now!
  D’Anbino Sauvignon Blanc
Sauvignon Blanc, like Cabernet Sauvignon, is a grape variety hailing from the Bordeaux region of France. It needs heat during the day to fully ripen, and yet cool nights in order to retain a bright, nautral acidity. Viña Robles’ Jardine Vineyard provides such a place. The first vineyard planted in their portfolio, the Sauvignon Blancs from this vineyard display incredibly perfumed aromas and ripe, tropical flavors. Whole cluster pressing and stainless steel vinification ensured the true characteristics of the Sauvignon Blanc varietal and the vineyard shine through in every glass.
  Orchestration
Named for the art of layering diverse instruments of the orchestra together to create a unified sound, three varietals combine to create an exotic and inviting blend. Starting with the deep purple-red color, this wine gives layers of bright, plumy fruit, candied cherry, and smoky, woodsy aromas reminiscent of black tea. Exceptionally focused in the mouth, balanced acidity and mild tannins finish with a pleasing, peppery spice.
  Portamento
This Port-style dessert wine exhibits a brick red color with aromas of chocolate covered cherries, praline, and molasses. Full, sweet, and very balanced in the mouth, you are left with a lush, decadent and fruit-laden finish.
  Quadraphonic
Quadraphonic, a predecessor to surround sound, used four speakers to engulf the listener in music. Our version uses four varietals to immerse the palate with elegant and inviting aromas. Predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, the blend shows currant and cedar aromas, bolstered by chocolatey Merlot, violet-tinged Cabernet-Franc, and earthy, rich Syrah. On the mouth, the wine is full-bodied, balanced, and smooth with a lingering finish.
  Syrah
Beautiful jewel-like purple color with exceptional clarity, combined with great aromas and a long, smooth mouthfeel. The nose shows typical earthy Syrah notes bolstered by crushed raspberry and ripe plum. In the mouth, the wine is supple and balanced, showing flavors of cherry and spice with a hint of soft, vanilla-toned oak on the finish.
