Cottonwood Cellars

Cottonwood Cellars Cottonwood Cellars is a family owned winery with a vineyard, Cottonwood Vineyards. The Owners are Keith (the Winemaker) and Diana (Marketing) Read. Richard Read is the Vineyard Manager. The winery began operation in 1994. The first grape vines (5 acres) were planted in 1995 and has increased yearly to the current 18 acres. A new building (at right) was added in 1998 for barrel aging, case good storage, and the tasting room.

Directions
Take US Highway 50 to the Town of Olathe. Turn west on Highway 348 at the traffic light at the intersection of US 50 and State Highway 348 in Olathe. Do not turn on highway 348 in Delta. Drive west 3.5 miles on highway 348. The winery is west of town, not in it, and there are no intermediate signs. Olathe is on the Western Slope of Colorado approximately 50 miles South of Grand Junction (I-70 and US Hwy 50), half way between the Cities of Delta and Montrose.

Full bodied & un-filtered. Smooth, classic and ready to serve alone or with Sophisticated Cuisine

Med bodied w/less tannin, hints of green pepper, try with red meats.

Oak barrel fermented Spicy, try with Tex-Mex or curries
