Threshold Vineyards

Threshold Vineyards is a family owned vineyard and winery located in the Brazos Valley, just a few miles off of the Brazos River. The Farm, as it is lovingly referred to in our family, was originally home to thousands of Virginia pine trees, operating as a choose-and-cut Christmas tree farm for many years. The Christmas trees are gone now, but our family has tried our hand at growing everything from watermelons, apples and peaches, taking advantage of the excellent sandy loam soil here. In 2010, we planted our first grape vines, a white variety called Blanc Du Bois, and the vines took off.

Chiaro de Luna
This fragrant white wine which is made in a Venetian style gives the fruitiness of pears and peaches with light sweetness. This wine is reminiscence of wine served at Renaissance banquets. Serve chilled at 50 o F.

Rosa Flamenco
This rose wine is a blend of White Zinfandel and Chenin Blanc. It is slightly sweet with hints of strawberries, spice, and honeycomb. Serve chilled at 50 o F. Food Pairing: Pasta, Salads, and Light Meats

Texas Chenin Blanc
This wine is crisp, fruity and semi-dry. It has a complexity of flavors such as melons, citrus, green apples and finishes with lightly dry. Serve chilled at 50 o F. Food Pairing: Salmon and Chicken Cordon Bleu

Texas Claret
This wine is a rich, hearty Bordeaux style blend that has been aged in American oak. It gives a variety of berry and spice flavors. It has firm tannins and finishes with a full palette. Blends: 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc, 4% Syrah, 3% Sangiovese, 1% Pinot Noir. Food Pairing: Beef, Venison, Duck, and Italian Red sauces

Texas Hill Country Moscato (2004)
This elegant dessert wine is estate bottled from our Doss Valley Vineyard. Last summer’s rains coupled with unusually cooler temperatures produced an exceptional harvest of our Muscat Blanc grapes. The intense bouquet and wonderful Moscato flavors make this wine a heavenly experience. Food Pairing: Blue Cheese, Pastries, and Fruits

Texas Hill Country Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
This wine is a rich, hearty Cabernet from our Doss Valley Vineyard that has been aged in American oak. It is medium bodied and gives a variety of berry, cherry, and spice flavors.

Texas Merlot
This wine is a soft red that was aged in American oak. It has the essence of black cherry and dried fruit with a lighter finish. Food Pairing: Steaks, Lamb, Dove, and Gumbo
