With a nod to those who came before, Richbrau Brewing in Shockoe Bottom rises within the most historic area of Richmond. The land from 18th Street to 25th Street and from the banks of the James River to Broad Street is the original settlement of Richmond founded in 1737.
Where we are is part of who we are. With a love for RVA and a passion for adventurous brewing, we celebrate our history by creating enticing recipes with names inspired by intriguing local lore.

Big Nasty Porter
This dark brown porter has more bark than bite. It is actually fairly sweet and fruity with a nutty/chocolate flavor as well. Highly recommended. Alcohol: 6.4 abv

Griffin Golden Ale
Our lightest and palest signature brew, the Griffin is our house session beer. Notice the spicy character imparted by the German hops we use in the Griffin. Alcohol: 5.2 abv

Old Nick Pale Ale
Our pale ale is located toward the lighter side of the beer spectrum and we hope it will serve as a stepping stone into the more flavorful world of craft beer. Amber, caramel, fruity, hoppy and bitter. Alcohol: 5.5% abv
