Ten Spoon Vineyard and Winery

Ten Spoon Vineyard and Winery Three miles up Rattlesnake Creek from Missoula, Montana, sits a yellow, barn-like structure in a pasture beside a field of grapevines. Really. A true Montana vineyard and winery. And now you wonder--fine wine made in Montana, where there are cougars and grizzlies and howling blizzards? Is that possible? Is it also possible that these people have been drinking? Yes, we certainly have. For about seven years now. Planting, pruning, fermenting, aging, blending, tasting, and we finally have it right. We hope you'll agree.

  Blind Curve Sauvignon Blanc
It was a wild ride and now we take no chances. We harvested these Dancing Crow Vineyard, Lake County, Calif., grapes at ideal acid and sugar levels. Artful crafting, perfect timing and a meticulous filtering process have created a crisp jewel of a wine. Fragrant with quava, green apple and pineapple, BLIND CURVE reveals a sophisticated range of lively fruit flavors on the tongue with a rich finish. Lovely with hors d’oeuvres, light entrees and creamy desserts.
  Farm Dog Red
Chocolate, berry and currant aromas introduce this silky, dry red wine, which arouses the palate with well-balanced, complex fruit flavors, ending with a long, warm finish. Saucy and bold as Lucy, vineyard foredog, this blend of estate-grown Maréchal Foche and Mendocino County premium red grapes brings out the best of both varieties. Excellent with strong cheeses, hearty menus, and rich desserts.
  Flathead Cherry Dry
Made from Elise Rousseau and Al Silva’s organic cherries grown on Finley Point at Flathead Lake, this superb, dry dinner wine starts with a caramel nose, is lively up front with a smooth, lightly-oaked finish. Rich and medium-bodied, it enhances vegetarian, meat and poultry dishes. This 2005 vintage is special. Due to a late spring frost, the harvest was one-third less, intensifying the flavor of the cherries. It’s a short year; the wine is excellent. A Montana favorite.
  Moonlight
Pure and elegant, with sumptuous flavor, this pinot noir is created using grapes from Bill and Tom Cattrall’s vineyard in the heart of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. This 30-year-old hilltop vineyard produces world class Pinot Noir grapes. It pairs exquisitely with grilled steelhead trout.
  Range Rider Red
We’ve blended our estate grown Maréchal Foche, Frontenac and St. Croix grapes to make a zesty, dry, red Montana wine with a fresh berry nose and full-bodied taste. Handpicked whole clusters of grapes were packed tightly in tanks for two weeks - classic Burgundian carbonic maceration - to reduce acid and present complex fruit flavors. Lightly oaked, Range Rider Red complements a wide range of food, from spanakopita to barbequed ribs.
