Croma Vera Wines

Croma Vera Wines Specializing in Spanish varietals such as Albariño and Tempranillo, Croma Vera was founded in 2014 by Mindy Oliver and her husband, Chris Steins. The name Croma Vera, loosely translated from Latin, means True Colors. Meticulously-farmed grapes are guided with minimal intervention, allowing each vineyard to reveal its true, unique colors. The name also reflects Mindy’s artistic background as an illustrator, graphic designer, and now wine producer. With experience, creativity and science as our guides, we shape the wine into a work of art.

  Choclate Lily Cabernet Sauvignon
Our 2001 Choclate Lily Cabernet sold out in just months. This latest release is big and bold and will knock your socks off. It’s full of fruit and has the color of black cherries.
  Faantasy Riesling
This wine is a special blend of White Riesling and a little Muscat Canelli. Our goal is to produce a light, crisp, fruity and refreshing wine that is great with appetizers, salad or even a nice turkey dinner. Many of our devoted followers also say its spectacular with Chinese food. Try it on a warm summer day by the pool with a fruit salad, some fresh bread.
  Forgetmenot
A Bordeaux blend that’s a 50/50 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Wonderful fruit with hints of black currant. Most of the grapes in this wine are from our Secret Valley Vineyard where our Ultra Violet Merlot and Choclate Lily Cabernet come from. Our finest Forgetmenot to date.

  Lilac Tyme
A blush blend of White Riesling, Muscat Canelli, and a touch of Pinot Noir just to make it pretty! We think it’s wonderful chilled and served in the shade on a hot afternoon.
  Maggie Mae El Nino Red
Maggie Mae was introduced in 1998 when El Nino visited us. There was so much rain (47 inches) that our Pinot Noir grape lost some of its flavor intensity so instead of making our Periwinkle Pinot Noir we added a little Merlot and put our dog Maggie Mae on the label. It quickly became known as the "Wet Dog Red." We only planned on producing this wine that one year but it became such a hit that we added it to our "stable of fine wines." We think this wine is a great food wine and goes with just about any meal. It is essentially a Pinot Noir with 95% Pinot Noir and 5% Merlot.
  Periwinkle Pinot Noir
This 100% estate grown Pinot Noir is the first wine we produced almost 20 years ago. It’s full of cherry like fruit and aromas with a nice oak finish. Our family favorite.
  Scott Aaron Integrity
Cabernet Franc is my favorite grape and Integrity is the first wine under the Scott Aaron label. This Bordeaux blend is mostly Cabernet Franc with just a touch of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon to add complexity. It’s full of fruit and has the earthy characteristics of Cabernet Franc. Each bottle is its own work of art.
  Ultra Violet Merlot
Our Ultra Violet Merlot has always been a favorite among Casa de Caballos fans. In recent years we have not released this wine as we needed our Merlot for Forgetmenot production. Our 2000 and 2001 vintages sold out so fast we couldn't wait for the 2002 to release. The 2002 Ultra Violet Merlot has got wonderful fruit and has the soft characteristics typical of Merlot. Our Dr. Tom's WIne Club Members have been eagerly awaiting this release.
