Maple Ridge Vineyard Maple Ridge Vineyard - a Grand Ohio winery growing old world French wine grapes on Ohio soil. Small country dirt road leads to the 23 acre wine farm and tasting room. Cellar worthy wines, can age for 10+ years. Call Jim for an appointment and taste our reserve and grand reserve wines. Gold Medal winning Chardonnay made in the old world fashion of great Montrachet style.

From Interstate 90: Exit Ohio # 212 or state route 528 Madison/Thompson. Head South 4 miles to Moseley Road and turn right. Turn Left onto Dewey road. Maple Ridge Vineyard is the 3rd property on the right. MAILBOX: 6326 (green address sign) From the South: take state route 528 north through Thompson. continue north after the square. Turn left on Moseley Road (1st road after the square). Turn left onto Dewey road. It is the 3rd property on the right.

  2002 Cabernet Franc Grand Reserve, Grand River Valley, Estate Bottled
A dry Bordeaux style. Harvested at 3.2 pH, .85 TA, 24.5 degrees brix. Lots of violets and rich forest fruit in the nose, with a great fruit and intense finish. Some hint of walnuts in the long finish. Easily a 15+ year wine for those who want the most exclusive Cabernet Franc still available. 500 ml bottles available only.
  2003 Cabernet Franc Grand River Valley
Alighter style of Cabernet due to the long wet growing season on the ridge of Thompson Ledges. This wine is estate bottled from organically grown grapes and made in our certified organic wine processing method. Bramble, blueberries, with a hint of austere walnuts in the finish.
  2003 Chardonnay Grand River Valley (Estate Bottled)
13% alc, peaches, orchard fruit, hints of vanlilla and almonds in the finish. Fermented in the finest Allier French Oak Barrique from CADUS in Bourgogne. This wine will easily age for 10+ years, and it has been produced with no chemicals - no headaches.
  2003 Chardonnay, Lake Erie
Exclusive dry Chardonnay. Peaches and orchard fruit with a citrus note in the finish. More austere than the Estate Bottled 2003 Chardonnay Reserve. Only 400 bottles produce.
  2003 PINOT NOIR, GRAND RESERVE, Estate Bottled from Organically Grown Grapes
A dry old-fashioned style Red Bourgogne. Plummy, with forward flavors of cherries, and the elegant hint of earthiness found in great red bourgogne. Harvested at less than 0.5 ton/acre, this wine is of very high quality, and will lay down for 10+ years.
  2003 Riesling, Grand River Valley, Estate Bottled from Organically Grown Grapes
A dry Riesling, produced from organically grown grapes. A true German Spatlese style with a very soft finish. This wine went through malo-lactic fermentation and does not come with the typical bite of Riesling wines.
  2003 Riesling, Lake Erie
A semi-dry spatlese style Riesling. About 2.5% residual sugar. Harvested from Markko Vineyard in Conneaut, Ohio on Lake Erie. This wine is very clean and crisp, and presents all of the notes of flavors and bouquet expected in a good, solid Riesling.
  2004 PINOT GRIS, Grand River Valley, Estate Bottled from Organically Grown Grapes
Available for shipment in June 2006. Above price is for futures. This is an Alsatian style made from organic grapes. A very elegant and smooth/silky pinot gris. Long seasnonal malo-lactic fermentation produces nice hints of heavy cream in the finish.
  2004 PINOT NOIR
A real robust red wine. The perfect quaffing wine with the evening meal. A strong in-your-face Pinot made in stainless steel, Hungarian Oak, and French Oak, then reblended for multi-dimension enjoyment. 750 ml bottle.
  2004 RED MERITAGE
A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petite Verdot, and Mouvedre. For sale only in OHIO.
